When does a UP SD60M look something like an SD70 with flared radiators? Well, when it becomes an SD59M-2 of course. See the photos at the link above of this conversion in progress.

It looks like a Details Associates kit-bashed WIP...!

It is definitely a EMD effort to place the Series 12V710 engine in competition to the GE V12 Evo.

It could work...the original idea was to use the EMD Series 12V265-H engine as an SD79AC....but it must be co$t-effective!

Had the 265-H engine been successfully accepted by US-American roads...
