I don't know if theres is already some thread related specialy to old styled screenshots and the search results were negative so I started this thread.

The theme: Post screenshots of old material with digital aging (this is not well writen, I suppose)

Found this old add for the GC&T in a box in my grandparents house, date on back says 1918...
I have since touched it up and made it my signature...

hmm, Im guesing the mustasch is either a family or buisness thing, for they are all cut the same:hehe: .

It was that time of year again: the owner showed up, and during his visit, a camp photo was always taken. Pictures could take a while back then, so everybody was starting to get bored. People were looking around, the engineer is messing with a gauge, and a few wandered off. The camp doctor said he had some cleaning to do, and Leroy Williams had to answer nature's call. While the photo was being taken, an unfortunate gust of wind blew through the camp. :hehe: In the photo are the Shay's engineer and fireman, the camp cook and doctor, the loggers and their boss, and the owner and his assistant.

Well. It might be. I think my great great grandpa started the golden north.
It might have been a family thing back then (this in not real).

Just found my old great-grandfather's memory box! It had some old Kodak film, so I had had it developed by some specialist, and look at what we got:

It's a Southern Pacific Passenger train at the turn of the century! Can you believe it? ;)

Even more so its in Texas.

Wonder how I know that? Its a T&NO engine. Dont belive me? Check the cab and tender, you will find T&NO (Texas & New Orleans)
 
Actually, it says Southern Pacific on the tender. If i remember correctly the SP still put it's name on the tenders and just put reporting marks on the cab.
 
The pics are great, especially the train crew hanging out as the locomotive rests......Can anybody recreate bandits (animated) chaasing an old 4-4-0?

Nope, here is the proof.


Check the cab, After the E-40, its says T&NO. Indicating she was a Texas Engine.

And sorry for not making this old before I put this here. Its an old engine, itll work for now.

EDIT: Yes, I do know the the T&NO was a subsidiary of the SP, which is why their tenders said Southern Pacific. However, they would either indicate that it was a T&NO engine but either putting T&NO on the cab or the bottom of the tender closeist to the cab. I just could remember which style this engine had. Sorry if Im just repeating what you said, im a little tired while posting this...

PS: Another way to tell its a T&NO engine besides the T&NO written on it is the low number.
