For those experiencing issues with downloading using TDH/CM after the server transfer

Hi All

In regards to the current issue with the 100MB quota when a FCT is in use, we are investigating this issue. However, as not all users are experiencing this issue, it is taking a little while for us to figure it out.

At this stage, the issue appears to be a connection issue between Content Manager and the DLS website, possibly a caching issue or similar.

As such, we would suggest giving it 24 hours to properly pick up on your FCT, as this will be a similar situation to newly activated tickets (which CM can take 24 hours to pick up on). In this case, please allow until approximately midnight AU-EST for it to fully update.

Some things that you may be able to try if CM is not able to download (either now or after 24 hours).

1) Please first try forcing a refresh in Content Manager. This is done by first starting Content Manager, then removing all content from the Download Helper list. Now go to CM's settings, and remove your username and password. Now restart Content Manager, and re-enter your username and password. Once this is done, and CM has reconnected to Planet Auran, please try downloading something from the DLS.

2) If the above does not work, please try doing an extended database repair. For TS2009/TS2010, this is done by going into Content Manager, and removing all items from the Download Helper queue. Now go to 'file', and then click on extended database repair. Once this is completed, try downloading from the DLS.

For TRS2006-TC3 (for experienced users only), go the same as above, but after clearing the Download Helper queue, close Content Manager and go into Windows Explorer/My Computer and navigate to your TRS2006 directory. Now locate the file 'assets.tdx' and remove this (make a backup copy elsewhere on your computer before removing it) and then start Content Manager. This will initiate a database repair. Please do not do anything with the computer until the repair is completed, as this can cause issues with the database repair. DO NOT USE THIS FOR TS2009/TS2010, AS IT WILL CAUSE YOUR INSTALL TO NO LONGER FUNCTION. This is recommended only for experienced users, and as such we only recommend that you do it if you are confident with working in windows explorer.

For TS2010 users: If the above two do not work, please click on file in Content Manager, and go to 'network diagnostics'. Once this has completed, copy and paste into a reply to this thread, using the

tags. This will keep it formatted, making it easier to read.

If you do need to download items from the DLS, then you should still be able to manually download cdp files from the FTP server. This is done by going to the DLS Website. Once on the website, tick the appropriate Trainz version boxes for your search, and then use the search tools to locate the asset that you want.

When you find the asset you wish to download, click on the 'download page' link. This will bring up a new window with two download links, and a list of dependencies that are on the DLS. Click on the 'Download(ftp)' link to initiate the download. To download the dependencies for the asset, click on the 'details' link next to the dependencies name, and then click on the download page link. You will need to re-open the download page for the original asset, as this window will open to the new 'download' pages each time you click on a link to one.

If after the 24 hour period you are still not able to download from the DLS, after doing the above refreshes/rebuilds, then please either contact us via the helpdesk or via this thread.

We do thank you for your patience with this.

Problems with FCT after sever transfer

Hi Zec

Tried your suggestions out, they did not work, still cannot download. Item shows up in download helper and says downloading, but nothing happens, it just freezers and stays like that. I have tried three different items and all do the same, freeze up when it says downloading. I will wait 24 hours to see if anything changers. I have not been able to download now for two days I have a first class ticket, but what use is it if I cannot download.

I hope you can get me back downloading soon. Thank you.

Waited until the database was repaired. Didn't work. Still says I have DLoaded my 100MB for the day (I haven't of course... haven't Dloaded anything today.)

Good luck to all you guys who are trying to fix this. I am sincere.

Hi Zec,

I am using 2010 SP1 build 41622, but also have 2009 installed and both only show 100MB daily limit. On the DLS my FCT ticket shows correctly as expiring May 30, 2010 so it knows what is going on.

I have tried everything you mentioned in this thread and nothing worked to correct the problem. However, I have gone form NO "Missing Dependencies" to having 79 items with "Missing Dependencies" :hehe:

The results from the "network diagnostics" are all good, but here they are anyway;

Forgot to say that my Download limit has reset itself since the work on the servers, yesterday I downloaded a few MB of content without problems which reduced my 100MB limit. Today I am now back to 100MB limit less the content I downloaded this morning to test things out.

Here it is at 1110 (11.10am) 31-03-2010 and CMP still not working, what a joke. Why not put the old servers back on untill you get it sorted out, at least they worked.

Hi DWVaught

Please try it now. In this case of your one, this is a different issue of the FCT itself not fully activating. However, you may or may not still experience the issue with the

We are still investigating this, and want to find a fix as soon as possible. However, as we are not able to reproduce it ourselves, we are having to rely on your information to test it. As such, it may still take us a little while longer to fix it.

Please understand that we are working on this as fast as we can.
We do thank you for your patience.

Lots of love

FCT status is showing 57 mb left today. I have a life time FCT.

Cheerio John

Thank you very much my friend. I am now able to download from within content manager as well as update from within the game and at a decent rate. I greatly appreciate your time. FCT is still not recognized but I assume this is a problem not inherent with just me so I will say thank-you and watch the forums for progress with the servers and fct's.

Hi All

We have found a the cause of this issue, and it should now be fixed.

Please now try forcing a refresh in Content Manager, and then running an extended database repair, as explained in the first post.

If this does not work, then please allow 24 hours for CM to refresh the FCT status itself, and then run the refresh and extended database repair again, since CM generally takes up to 24 hours to pickup on a FCT.

Please let us know, either here or at the helpdesk, if you are still unable to download from the DLS.

We do thank you for your patience with this.

FCT is now showing correct on my machine. Shows number of days left and does not show a limit. I did none of the above suggestions, it just worked.

I think you guys finally got it.

Just to let you know that when I press on the Buy a Ticket button it goes to a blank screen.

Still got no FCT on CMP TRS2006 as per screen shot.

CMP1400310310.jpg

I have a current FCT and it is activated I was usung it before and everything was going perfectly now nothing. Only thing to have changed is there is no quota left??
I'm afraid I am getting very tired of this, maybe it would have been better left until september then you could have killed all of your birds with one stone.:hehe:

Many thanks Zec and the Auran team, I now show the number of days left and not the 100MB limit. I had to do an Extended Database Repair to get it to work properly, but I am up and running again.

Cross me off your "to fix" list :hehe:

Unable to download

Hi Zec
I have tried all of the above but still I am unable to download. It shows that it is downloading but the status bar does not move. Also the download speed stays at 0.00bps.
