Convair CV 240 belonging to Mid-Continent Airlines.
This airline was founded 1930 and finally acquired and merged with Braniff International Airways in 1952.
Hello!
Thank you, Blue, for these kind words.
Yes, some pictures of these aircrafts would be appreciated.
Should you need for your route some particular aircraft model or livery, please ask.
Cheers
After 2nd WW, many Short Sunderland were transformed to civil purposes and used to transport passengers. They were renamed Sandringham.
In the early 50th, some of them were used by the Australian airline Ansett.
I made the reskin of 2 exemples: the Beachcomber (VH-BRC) and the Islander (VH-BRF).
Another Short Sunderland Sandringham, belonging to the RAI airline (Réseau Aérien Interinsulaire, which will be renamed Air Tahiti later).
Active from 1958 to 1970, now preserved by the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace at Le Bourget, near Paris.
Ready for a show, from the aircraft-carrier: The Blue Angels team with 6 A4-F Skyhawks.
The model has no weapons, but can be fitted with an external drop tank, for long transfers.
Ian has updated an old model to today's standards, the Consolidated B-24 Liberator bomber.
I made a repaint of 3 of them. they were operating over Europe during WW2 for the 458th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force.
The more colourfull was an assembly ship, used to help the formation of the "boxes" after take off.
