New Aircraft

Hi Gentles --

A bit more detail of what I have in mind --

The plan is to have the bulk of the terminals surrounded by the runways ... But there are more terminals at the outer edges of the runways, and these terminals will be facing toward huge parking lots (I just send the parking lots to the DLS -- should be there tomorrow)!

Also, in the mid center of the IIA there will be oil and fuel tanks, and designated areas like a oil tanker next to a hanger (I've seen this in my research of real airports) -- Traffic will run beneath ramps, since there will be runways and other sections for cargo that's in way a distance from the major airport traffic activity!

And I have a few other surprises I don't want to spoil, LOL ... But it involves rail :hehe: -- The airport it's way to big, and will continues to grow!!

Lastly, everyone that ever did an airport item that's on the DLS will have a place here ... Ian, Bill, you guys (the regulars), Arraial, Ben, and if you guys know of anyone that has done any airport items please note down their alias here, and I'll download their items!

And I'll leave you with this ... this airport will be accessible in nighttime on a grand scale ... :udrool: Magicland has done airport lights that's ground level, like in the real world!

Take Care all

Model came with a royalty free license, no I will not PM you, if you want to get me kicked off fine suites me after the week I've had.

But just for your info, if you want to get rid of me then maybe you should look at TANE, some of the built in content was on the same site I got this model from.

Hi Ish,

Looking to your recent pictures, one remark:
Some of your jetways seem docking the aircrafts at the right side.
Boarding of passengers is always made by the left side of the aircraft (inside plane looking forward). Right side is for catering trucks, cleaning staff, etc...

Huge work, anyway, keep the good momentum!!

Hi Pascal,

You are going to laugh --- About the right-side boarding, etc -- I figured I squueze that one in there, LOL ... I'll make the necessary corrections, tho!:wave::hehe:

Yeah, it's growing, but when it said and done you are going to have fun --- In fact, Air France has it's own huge terminal set; And when the time comes when the airport is finish you can play around neear the Air France terminal without ever seeing the other side of the airport if you don't want too, etc ...I'm being very creative how to implement the ID Tracks so there can always be deliveries needed, and deliveries pick up, including passengers, etc .... right that is a work in progress to see how that part looks like, etc

Here is a first batch of cargo aircrafts, Boeing 747, mainly adapted from my existing models.
A maintenance centre for 747s should be implemented inside your airport, Ish.

Hi Pascal,

Outstanding, sir!!!

Yep, a maintenance centre dedicated to the 747 fleet will indeed be very visible :hehe: --- Look like I might have to more hangers --- look at google earth I have gotten some ideas, etc

Also, fix passenger boarding gate --- I just copy and paste and was done in no time!!! LOL

To Pascal, Gordon, and Rob ---

***Guyz,, if you see something that's wrong on the airport screenshot that I post no matter how minor please let me know so I can make the proper corrections, like Pascal suggested-- I don't mind criticism, guidance, suggestions, comments positives or negatives ... so please always speak your mind, so when the airport is done, and it lands in your hard drives you will be proud.

We have a long way to go, but it is a very fun project to work on -- I never get bored -- And I got tons of ideas ---

Atlanta National Airport | Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport Documentary

Hello Gentle's

To keep things interesting around here I found this video on youtube -- I've seen this on the History Channel, and it's a good tool to do airport research, and what happens there!

:)

Just a heads-Up Guyz

Uploaded over 50 items, from which 30 are my freeways -- These freeways will travel one direction only -- they are designed for for airports, since traffic in real airports flow one way only -- There are ramps, bridges included!

The highways come in two different speeds .... high speed for the outer edges of any airport, and as the traffic enters the airport use the slow version traffic freeway to enter the airports .... everything connects from ramps to intersections ... so have fun using them!!

Also, warehouse storages designed from real airports, etc ....

I've also include signs like Cargo, etc so you guys can mix and match these signs with whatever cargo airlines you which to have in your own airport set ups ...

Also, a 90 meter tall air traffic controller -- somewhat similair to Heatthrow tower!

There's more stuff, so I'll post up list here when these items land on the DLS tomorrow!

Take Care guys, you know who u are! :p

Enjoy guys --- right now making parking lines for trucks -- Looking at Goolge Earth airports notice these long line for parking trucks -- Also making new hangers, which will be close except room fpr the airplane tail to stick out! And intersections for the inner airport road that does not have traffic --- these will NOT connect, because these intersections and roads are designed to be use with my invisible tracks.

Take Care

Ish

Info added 12/14

Hi Guyz,

Hi Gentle's

Intersection to be use with my non-traffic roads -- the purpose for this is to have your own airport traffic using my invisible roads -- I have airport drivable vehicles at the DLS!

Fourway intersection coming too!

Hi Gordon,

Cool link, sir ... looked at it and I have a few ideas --

Also guys, although I will use Ian's markers, I need to redo few of them -- make them a bit bigger ... some airport, especially big airport have these enormous markers and signs! --- they will be re-nameable so u can type what code your airport provides!

Hi Gentle's

Here are couple of reskin ideas if they isn't been made yet to consider!
*Note that the planes in the screenshot also come in varies configuration, 757s. etc but did not wanted to post too many screenies of the same plane logo

Hi Gentle's --

I've set up Canada Air facility and Cargo area, however, when I did a search no Canada Air Cargo airplanes, etc ... If you have done Air Canada Cargo planes please note down here -- thanks!

On IIA -- Added two more runways -- thus far we got 6 runways, one of which is 4800 meters (Dallas International Airport here in the US is the only airport that has a runway at 4800 meters long! --

Also, the airport is so huge now that I got lost searching for the spot that I was working on -- Last night I did a fly using the cursor, and I might do this for a video clip, but keep in mind that the airport is far from finish ... maybe a year or more, mainly because of the details -- But I will always keep you guys updated, regardless!

Anyhow, let me know if there's any Air Cargo Airplanes .... I can't find none!

Take Care

Ish

Ish,
To my knowledge, Air Canada haven't had dedicated cargo aircraft for a very long time. Cargojet, DHL, UPS,FedEx, Purolator are the companies that cover most of it North of the US border.

Some exist on DLS.
