New Aircraft

Hi John, thanks, I downloaded the Spitfire Fighter JHD startup, the most recent model, though build 2.8.

I am using build 88364, it was a full install on my new computer. I have placed the Spitfire, the views are all over the place. You can use the arrow keys in Driver to rotate the views until they are facing correctly. If you lock on one of those views as you take off and go around a curve, it follows the aircraft correctly. If you change to one of the other views they are facing the wrong directions again. If you return to the original view that was behaving, it is now facing the wrong way, very frustrating.

Thanks John, much appreciated Gordon, it is hard to find the page to put in a helpdesk request.

Without the outside view function working correctly it is a waste of my time to make any internal models for the aircraft. I am still making them as build 3.5, it lets me use TS12.

Within the new aircraft models issued by Ian, I have chosen this one to start with:

Curtiss C-46 Commando, military version, operated by the USAAF, Air Transport Command.
They were based in India, years 1943/44, delivering goods to China across the Himmalaya, the "Hump".

This may be considered off topic, I hope not.

Firstly, I always visit this thread when I see a new post. I admire the skill of the creators and at the same time appreciate the form and function of the aircraft. This gives me great pleasure.

Now a question for the experts. Way back in time, I think the 1960's, I flew from London to Dublin in an aircraft with rear facing seats and, I think, a rear entry under the tail. Can anyone identify the aircraft? On another late night flight into Dublin, i think the hostess must have been asleep as we were given the usual landing warning just as we touched down.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

With that information, I dug a little deeper. I think it could have been the first version with 59 seats. Seating details of this version don't seem to exist. This particular flight has stuck in my memory because it was different. I was definitely sitting facing aft and looking at the rear entry steps. There could have been conventional seats farther forward which I didn't see.

Anyway, my question is answered, thanks again.

Hi Pascal,

Excellent work there, sir, --- I really like the Boeing 377!

========================================================

To All -- I'll be moving in a few months, and the baby girl is growing each day, so maybe... just maybe I'll get back to my massive airport project, plus evaluate all of the items that I have created for it, like the tram stations and tracks, etc --- my only fear is that these new changes from N3V might affect these items! Well, when it gets closer to summer time I'll see how everything goes, and noted on this thread! -- For now, I'm just a spectator!

Hi,

Ish, nice to see you here. I hope you will come back soon with new content.

6 years ago, one of my first reskin was a black Air New Zealand Airbus A320.
Since that time, the aircraft models of Ian have improved, correcting some defects, and incorporating new functions, such as the startup mode.
My own reskin skills have also improved, I think...

So here is the updated model of this black thing, with special mention to the Rugby game.

Air New Zealand paintings have also been modified, like this one:

There is a new painting for ZK-OAB, similar to this white one, but all black. I could make it one day.

Hi Pascal --
Excellent additions, sir!
Back in the 70s as a child my parents traveled to Puerto Rico, however, getting from San Juan to Mayaguez was a 3hr ride so we took Transamerica airline (I think that was the name) that used the the Vickers 950 Vanguard, and wow those engines where SUPER LOUD!

---Brings back memories!!!
