New Aircraft

Vulcan you are certainly working overtime on your aircraft production. I wonder; will the Manchester have random engine failure?

Hi all, haven't forgotten you just been working on a different area, first pic

Please let me know what you think,

Cheers

Hi,

Nice shots, Gordon. I suppose a hard work to make this airport as close as possible to the real one.
The result is really amazing.

Here is a small exercise around Ian's new aircraft carrier:

Departure from the USS Hornet CV-8 (sister ship of the USS Yorktown) of the Doolittle raid to Japan.
The B25 Mitchell were launched from the carrier, as close as possible from the target.

Nice work Pascal and Ian,

I have taken some creative licence on the airport but I think its got the feel of a busy hub.

Hi Teddy, I sometimes have the engine sound cut out randomly, so I suppose that is an engine failure. Were they known for having this problem?

Gordon, I know that can be a lot of work, just getting it as you want, good one, as long as it is fun.

Ian

The Manchester was a great aircraft and the Mk3 with four Merlin engines is better known as the Lancaster. The problem was the Rolls Royce Vulture engine which was unreliable and suffered from con rod bolt failures. It has been said, and I can't vouch for this, that more Manchesters were lost through engine failure than by enemy action. The Vulture was abandoned and RR concentrated on the Griffin and improving the Merlin. It was a case of ideas outstripping the current technology.

Hello,

The Nieuport 17 of the French ace Maurice Boyau, 35 victories.
The snake:

The basset hound:

To explain the art work on the planes, in French language, "boyau" means long narrow tunnel, or piece of gut to make a sausage.

Hi Javier,

Good work, you should continue!!

The A-4 Skyhawk is an old model by Pencil42, a bit out of date. Vulcan did not issue this type so far but you have a better model at the DLS by Arraial.

Bonjour Pascal,

Thanks for the comments and apologies for the error with the authors.
They really look ugly in 2019, they are not like yours ........ "superbes", I have some more, I will make some captures.

In the 80s I flew a lot for work and I have looked for some models in trainz but I can't find them (they probably don't exist)

DC 10 Varig and Iberia
727 Varig and Iberia
Electra II Varig
737 Transbrasil

I have good memories of all of them and some anecdote.

Finally, I have seen your Concordes and I remembered that in the 80s there was a company that wanted to make an exclusive line to go around the world and they presented it in various cities. I visited the aircraft in Rio or Foz do Iguaçu, I do not remember it well.
Do you know anything about this company?

Regards, Javier

Hi Javier,

For the look of your reskins, may be you should tweak the light of your TS19.

Regarding the Iberia or Varig aircraft liveries, they do not exist for Trainz, but this can be easily repaired, with some time..

The only airlines , I guess, which could have in mind an "around the world" trip are Air France and better British Airways. They were prevented by the so many problems arising with supersonic flights, and the costs..

Hello,

Simple reskins of the Nieuport 17 fighter, belonging to the American Volunteers Escadrille, established in 1916, later named Escadrille Lafayette.
Aircrafts for 4 pilots: Willis B.Haviland, Robert Soubiran, Raoul Lufberry, and William Thaw.

Good morning Pascal, the famous Lafayette squad, very good job. :)

About the Falcon and Sea King, I don't think it's the light, they are my bad textures.:hehe: The company that I mention about the Concorde was a tour operator and surely the aircraft was not repainted, the idea was something like special tourist trains.

Now another jet, Harrier "matador" Armada Española (infanteria de marina)/Spanish Navy (marines), scheme of the end of the 80s, original model of Arraial. In 2019 it has some fixable texture issues.

Greetings, Javier

Hi Javier, nice to see some new contributors. I did the research for a Skyhawk model but have not built one yet.

I am still working on the carrier Yorktown to get the AI working correctly, but have been working on an escort for the carrier, a Fletcher Class Destroyer:

fletcher1.jpg

This is a full startup ship, to start the engines, like the aircraft it can use the Action Trigger on the track to control speed. It lists going around curves at speed, and the V key fires the guns.

The ship requires a crew of sailors to suit:

Anyway, something different, coming soon.
