Many use either GMAX or Blender; both are completely FREE!

You may not be able to afford 3Ds Max, but you can afford Blender, for free. That is what I'm using, at least, and getting very good results as usual.

    Hi John,

All very nice. Just out of interest, do you make those from drawings, or from imagination. Also I do like your texturing skills, that's a department of blender I'm still struggling with somehow.

Nice work, ZapperJet. Your textures and mapping make all the difference.

I've been using Gmax for about 2 years or so now. Guess some would call me an "expert" although I still feel like I have a LONG way to go! (Created several engines in Gmax).

Not experienced with Blender, don't want to learn a new program and Gmax is awesome once you learn your way around it.

Would love the rendering capabilities of 3dsMax.....

Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The MARINES don't have that problem.

See, that's the thing, Blender incorporates all of those rendering capabilities. It's really not a huge learning curve, you just have to get used to the non-Windows Oriented interface of the program.

Does anyone know how can I get the error of 3d in GMAX?
It is an error in a box!

Do you mean guess what it is, or make up a name for it?

    I guess a GP7/9 if that's what you meant.

Believe it or not, this was made entirely by looking at two pictures.

Wow, these are some nice works I'm trying to think of a nice train to model as my first train in Blender.
