Beginning texture work of my Amfleet in Substance Painter, however I have to fix things (i.e the backwards coupler) and add the air hoses, but overall it's going good!

Stunning work, have a look at " New Zealand Railways Silver Fern Railcar "; you've just about got 90% of it done.

Would be interested in buying a silver fern version from you.

Cheers

After seeing the level of works in the last days, I am a bit ashamed to show this ... but it is what I have .

Refining details in the body, we began to develop the bogies ...

That's good. But not quite right. A good diagrammatic is in Wikipedia, here:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Walschaert_static.png

The Eccentric Rod makes the Link rock backwards and forwards, and this causes the Radius Bar to also move back and forth.

The Reverse Arm and Shaft lifts the Radius Bar within the slot in the Link. At full forward motion the Radius Bar is at the lowest point in the Link and the back and forth motion of the Radius Bar is at its maximum. This maximises the movement of the Valve Spindle, allowing the maximum amount of steam into the cylinders. As the Radius Bar is lifted within the slot the movement of the Radius Bar is reduced. This is the "cut off". At full reverse the Radius Bar is at the top.

Ben Neal managed to get this just right in his locomotives. To see it in action download, for example, his Baldwin 2-6-0 Mogul. "Loco Baldwin 2-6-0" on the Download Station works error free in T:ANE and TRS19, and shows the valve gear to perfection.
