GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

This has a lot left to do.

I took a quick look over at SI3D Forums and found a guy called "Sketch" there who has been posting a couple of incredibly highly detailed model screenshots over there and I thought I would like to share his latest work here. (I know its Thomas Content, but there are a lot of very experience content creators there that have pulled off a lot of amazing and highly detailed stuff, despite the fact its Thomas Content). Heck some of the models I download from over there are up in the 700MB Range because so much detail has been put on them.

Here are screenshots of some of Sketch's latest work.

340' car shop based off of the one in Havre, Montana. Don't mind the windows, but I would say this isn't bad for the first model I have actually completed. It's a shame I didn't save after mapping, however.

Thanks Jamie!

Yeah, All that has to be done is remapping and of course texturing. It will definitely be released at some point, if not soon.

Been a while since I posted a work update but here's what I got done so far. The USRA 0-6-0 is nearing completion on the locomotive, all it requires is the injectors on both sides, some more piping, and then finishing up the texturing. Once the engine is completed then I'll shift focus on finishing the drive wheels before moving on to the tender. Hopefully (no guarantees as of now) I can have this ready to go before March.

As a bonus here is a pair of screenshots showing off the engine in game. I decided to experiment with a reflective texture on both the bell and whistle to give them a nice metallic shine, plus all those rivets seen on the cab roof/wall are indeed their own individual shape - no decal sheet done on there. (Sorry about the post length.)

Im getting inspired to make a miniature railroad in Trainz out of these, I already did a test with a steam locomotive and some mock up scenery here:

We will see what comes out of this in time...

Really guys? This is a great reason why people are leaving.

Back to the original thread. Here's a NG 36' Gauge reefer car I'm working.

My First Significant Construction Effort

I still have a little ways to go, but here's a few screenshots of my first significant construction effort.

I'm hoping to have this completed fairly soon, then it'll be time to get back to the engine that goes with it!
