Seince I am finished with the CSX Saginaw Sub that covers almost all of Western Detroit. I now move to one of my older routes: The Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. It's coming back and being remodeled to my newer standards: new track, grass, more textures, and better trees. This route will go from L.A. Union Station, next to the L.A. River, over the fly-over, thru Hobart Intermodal Terminal, thru Anaheim, thru Laguna Beach and onto Mailbu on the former ATSF. All stations are industry interactive. There is UP, BNSF, Metrolink, and Amtrak lines and former ATSF and SP. It runs thru city, suburbs, industrial, hillsides, and coastal regions and it's all prototypical! This route is for west coast/ commuters/ and freight operators!

Some screenies:

I have the current layout. I'm all set to be suitably impressed with the upgrade.:D
It would be nice if someone did some reskinned cars to match the locomotive, wouldn't it?
Keep up the good work!

 Claude

Thanks you two. This route is gonna be great (And a fairly long one)! It would be nice if Magicland could reskin his GO F59PH and Coaches into a Metrolink skin because Surfliner serves Metrolink. If somebody could give me some maps, railroad information, and train symbols and timetables would be nice. Here's a teaser for ya:

f59PHI

Lets not forget that Amcal surfliner uses F59phi's (They're streamlined f59s), and sometimes P40-42s. And someone should make surfliner cars, and I think someone is.

Jeff944 will be making the Complete surfliner train, F59PHI, and the cars and in amtrak surfliner and metrolink paint schemes, once he gets the surfliner route for MSTS from me he'll start on the project but I need a file sender that is free and sends 600 megabyte files so if someone can send me a link to a website you'll have the Surfliner train sooner
Thanks amtrak514
P.S. the route looks good chris!!!

Here's an update. The Fly-over, L.A. River storm drain, and downtown Los Angeles including Union Station. Take a look!

Will you guys please stop with the MSTS version. I dont want 40 useless posts about the MSTS version like I got when I made the first version of this. Also: why do you still care when I got the TRS version in the works? :D -Chris

Nice job there Chris on the route :)....Keep up the good work....[/LEFT]

Hi Chris. I live in Irvine, CA and recently took a very nice ride on the Surfliner from the Amtrak station in Irvine down to San Diego and back. My wife and I are planning on taking the Surfliner up to Santa Barbara soon. I'll see what I can do about some timetables and such. Keep up the fine work! :)

Here's a pic. Hey...I've got a timetable in my hand! Not to worry I'll get another one.
