Long Island RF-62's train has been built and is ready to roll east following the procession of westbound passenger trains to Jamaica, Hunterspoint Ave., and Long Island City. Air tested and ready to roll, they leave their train for a moment to grab breakfast at Pineaire, their home terminal.
After shoving westward out of the Pineaire DEF to spot one car at Southern Container in Deer Park, the crew eases into the long siding at SG and waits until a westbound KO train passes. Here they are ready to proceed east.
A few moments later, the block operator at SG Cabin has the iron lined for the siding, and MP15AC 154/C420 227 give the 29 car long consist a tug. Today, this train will make the trek to Riverhead/LD and pick up MTYs they dropped off yesterday and the day prior - these will ultimately end up on tonight's RF-91, the power of which is shared with this job.
