Japan

Hi, all.
I am in Italy from 3rd to 8th/May:wave: .
Tomorrow my family will ride on the Eurostar:hehe: .

You going 1st class or 2nd? I just got off it (twas sunday...but anyways) 2nd Class was a bit of a let down. I was expecting it to be very nice no matter where you were; but second class seemed like a cheap airplane to me. oh well it was worth the $$ to ride it anyways. (I think I'll look into upgrading to 1st for the return :) Although you must remember I guess that they are now considered "old" trains really (1994) and our standards have come up from there.

kiha40 is now available

I have uploaded a diesel car kiha40 into DLS.
kiha40dls.jpg

kiha40(42in) <kuid:438196:1118>

- w/ its own 3'6" bogeys DT22, downloading simultaneously.
- no cab, no interior.
- using desiro's engine-spec and sound, preset of TS09.

Is there any recommendable engine-spec for this kind of DC? Kiha40 have one engine, hidrodisel, 15000cc, 220PS/1600rpm.

I plant to upload more kiha diesel cars next week.

Regards.

Yea thanks thats another route I have to build now:'(
Seriously though these are beauitfull all we need now is for Connxy to release those series100s.

Cheers for the beauties

From Italy

I came back from Italy:).
Because it is irrelevant to the theme of this thread, I put only one photograph.
It's ETR500.
090505.jpg

My family got on 2nd class coach from Firenze(Florence) to Napoli(Naples).
Still, the travel on Eurostar was comfortable:D .
I explored from the lead coach to the tail coach.
I took photographs its front and side, then I will make it some time.
That's all:wave: .

We'll have to either upgrade our computers and buy TRS09 or learn to make our own locomotives.
I looked at all the pictures in the Download Station. There are beautiful trains.

:cool:Claude

The Freccia Rossa are "repaints" of the previous ETR500 Eurostar trains of Trenitalia. Mostly a maquillage operation to create another tiket's category (expensiver...). They should be polytension trains to use on the new 25KV AC lines and on the previous 3kV DC.

ETR500 are available at www.trainzitalia.com on subscription for Gold Member.
From what I know, there's somebody working on the Freccia Rossa's repaint.

kiha40@TS2009

Uum, I have no idea to say about any conpatibility between TS09 and the previous version, because I've just bugun Trainz from 2009(I possess TS09 only).
Thanks.

JNR Type 9600s are variety.
No.9687 was made from the original No.9633 changing number plate.
He runs with my feight cars in my TRS04:D .
The No.9633 on my last post is temporally numbered.

Keimei, I wonder if your aware of the fact that all your beautiful railcars have problems on the DLS. Every one of them is "Not available" and cannot be downloaded. What would be the cause for that??

I'd really like to have them as they look awesome.:)

Edit: Just realised they can be downloaded via the pack and only for 09. Sorry for the stuff up on my part.

JNR Type 9600 style Steam Locomotive in Japanese Local Line

Sirrliv-san, I thought that 9600 is not a project. It is exaggerated.
Now I don't have a making skill of main bogey for steam loco motion .
This 9600 might not have been completed without help of bdaneal-san .
Therefore 9600 is completed in my level .

Now, I am making the stage where 9600s run as active players.
9600s are suited in the local line and the switch yard in Japan.

9645 starts from a local station.
She has deflecters for local trains.
090520f96001.jpg

She pulls 3 passenger coaches.
09052096002.jpg

These passenger coaches are Suha44 types for the express train for "Tokkyu SAKURA".
I think that Oha35 types are established sooner or later for the local train.
09052096003.jpg

Next are 9687 & 9688.
They have no deflecters for switch yard works.
09052096004.jpg

It's a local scene of 1950s to 1970s in Japanese .
09052096005.jpg

I use repainted Jpapan House by Kenichiro-san .
Japanese local station
09052096006.jpg

9687 starts from the station.
09052096007.jpg

She pulls a short freight train in rice field

Just saw in the DLS, under the search keyword "Japan", found somthing that looked similar to shots of the Kodama whoever was looking for it was looking for. Under the title Limited Express Series485 (page 5 of results):)

Just so you know

Hanshin9501-san, 9600 looks exactly real. and Suha44 is more great, I like it !:)

Well, it may be my turn? Here comes a new car; Kiha120 is the "Light Economy" diesel car of JR West. She is armoured by stainless steel. (TS2009 ONLY)

kiha120 Tsuyama <kuid:438196:1110>

kiha120 Kansai <kuid:438196:1105>

Thanks a lot.

Will you make any TRS2006 Locomotives soon?

Hanshin,
Try this:
In kuid 438196 1111's config, change trainz-build 2.9 to 2.0. In kuid 438196 1125's config, change trainz-build from 2.9 to 2.0. For kuid 438196 1106, change trainz-build to 2.0. Then replace this
PHP:
bogeys {
    0 {
        reversed                0
        bogey                    <kuid:438196:1121>
    }
    1 {
        reversed                1
        bogey                    <kuid:438196:1121>
    }
}
with this:
PHP:
bogey <kuid:438196:1111>
bogey-1-r <kuid:438196:1111>
At least, that's how I got it to work in my copy of TRS2004.

Keimei,
I do not know if you are looking for feedback on the Kiha 40 at this point, but here goes:
1st, excellent work. I like the Kiha 40 series, and I am glad I didn't have to make one.
2nd, check the attachment point height for the bogeys. For me, the wheels seemed to be roughly 20cm above the rail.
3rd, check the position of the cab attachment point. The cab view seemed to be roughly 1.5 meters left of the correct spot.
Finally, you need to use the smoothing modifier on the body before exporting.

If there is anything you need help with (or need me to clarify), let me know.

Cheers,
Ben

But I can't got KIHA40:'( . Why?

I tried to change only all versions of TRIAN Build.
