Is the backwards "SSERPXE" on the nose of the red line on purpose? Sort of like the "ECNALUBMA" on the front of an ambulance so the train ahead can see an Express coming in its rear-view mirror? :hehe:

Bill

Probably just a mistake socimi made when reskinning, idk

No, it's not a mistake, nor it is intentional. I simply had to make it like that, as the front texture arrangment for Kenichiro's 485 Series is specular - the actual "texture" image covers only half the front, and then the other half is the same part of the image but mirrored.

Here's the texture file in question.

Unfortunately, this is one of the limits of reskinning - you're limited by the texture arrangment.

For the same reason, i also had to discard entirely a few variants, especially the "Mitooka multi-color livery" for JR Kyushu's 485 Series sets dedicated to Huis Ten Bosch and Kirishima & Hyuga services.
In this case, the texture arrangment uses only a tiny portion of the texture file (on the JNR livery the section between the end of the dark red "whiskers" and the cab door) repeated multiple times thruought the sides. Therefore, the only possible reskins that can be made using Kenichiro's 485 Series as base are those with strictly "horizontal" livery arrangments (such as all the JR West versions and whatnot)

Also correlated to the "only strictly horizontal liveries are possible" thing, on the Kyushu 485s that i did reskin, the (very JR Kyushu-esque) central wording is missing from the same reason, this time not because half would've gotten mirrored, but because it couldn't have been possible to have it at all!

After all, reskinning is a matter of compromise and adaptations...

I understand completely, Alexmaria. I ran into the same problem a few times in my attempts to reskin a couple of passenger cars. A lot of emergency vehicles here in the States use reverse lettering so when they come up behind someone what type of vehicle they are shows up in their mirrors. It was a reference to this and definitely not a poke at your formidable reskinning skills.

Hi everyone, I've just got myself Trainz: A new era, can you recommend any good Japanese/Japan themed maps? The only ones i've been able to find until now are Pagrooves Icarus Shinkansen and Electro Island.

also, could u help me with installing .cdp files? I downloaded Jepun Ficiton ( https://mamanksugara02.blogspot.com/2022/01/jepun-fiction-v1.html ) and it only comes with 2 .cdp files, when i drag and drop them into content manager, they seem to install something, but than when i start the game, it doesnt show up

Icarus Shinkansen v2.0. Building Snapshot 12

It is available from my Google Drive here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1b95-heJ8B--Hn007SJXT0GzjWvIhpjq6?usp=sharing

What is new in this snapshot?

- Enhanchements on the TIF (Trans Icaruco Freight Line)
- New allignments and Junctions on the East of Mount Icaruko in the Airport Vally
- Caternary further completed all around Icaruko
- Trackwork completed on a new Icaruko Loop Line (WIP. This was possible due to a new long tunnel under the mountain range
- Detailing Icaruko Terminal with night lighting
- Detailing of Kobari Seaside

Important:

If you have changed the route to your own standards make a .cdp backup of your own version or rename it to for example Icarus Shinkanse Personal version

Also:

After installing either the TANE CDP (from the TANE .CDP map) or the TRS2019 PLT CDP (from the TRS2019 PLT map) by either dragging the .cdp file in content manager or by choosing import .cdp also make sure to choose : list dependencies (an option under the right mouse button by clicking on the file)
Then sort the dependencies by status and download all missing dependencies that are available to download so you won't have missing dependencies.

As Always Work in progress:

Now some screenshots:

Hi, I've made a route together with Duskeyduskey and AlexMaria a few weeks ago. It's the Seto-Ohashi Line. The current version only being on Honshu from Okayama to Kojima and Uno, we're now working on the next version which will include the Seto bridge and it will go completely to Tadotsu, Shikoku. It's available on my website here.

Soon, I will also release my Kotoku Line (Around Tokushima) route:

That looks amazing, thank you, are the trains/scenarios included?

Thanks. The trains are not included but there's a bunch of rolling stock that fits this route on Socimi.it. The N2000 in the screenshots above is my private repaint. I can't share it without permission of the original creator of the model.
We don't have included any scenarios/sessions either, but we will in the future.

According to the site, that route was built specifically for TRS19, which is the reason why it has higher build number (guessing from the fact that you only have TANE Deluxe on your timeline). Regarding the missing dependencies, probably you have to contact the author through the e-mail address that displayed on his Blogger profile, since he is the one that really knows about what dependencies that he used in his route.

These are some great shots pagroov. Hey I downloaded this and there are some unknown kuids listed. where can I get the unknown kuids?

In the original text for the building snapshots there was this section:

After installing go into content manager and choose display missing dependencies and download all missing dependencies that are available for download. You can sort them out by status by clicking on the dependencies status tab. Ignore the unknowns (mostly in TRS2019) they are non critical and often these are built ins from older Trainz versions that are not i TRS2019. In general the more platinum and/or legacy routes you've got installed (especially ECML, Serbian Lake, Kickstarter Country) the less unknowns. but even if you've got many the route still should be drivable.

So install those above mentioned Platinum routes. Also importing the ECML from an older Trainz version including the depencies will help. Because most missing dependencies will be likely legacy textures from older Trainz versions that where built in even in TANE but not in TRS2019.
Then sort the dependencies and download the missing.
If you still got unkowns then go into edit route > delete missing dependencies and then save under a clear name. As mentioned in the quoted section most missing dependencies are non-critical.
