Japan

Would somebody please check this out for me? For some unknown reason, Hirochi's catenary is showing up brilliant white instead of metal-colored. Not sure when this started, but every effort to recover normal coloration has failed (delete/reload, edit & revert, environment parameters, etc). I am still using build 90948.

Nice work evryone!

I'm currently working on updating the old 205 series with new textures, destination boards and other minor improvements (pantographs and door replacement) :

205_old_and_new.png

On the left, the Yamanote line 205 series with new, more uniform and prototypical textures (also with correct small door windows, taken from the Tsurumi Line 205-1100 series model), while on the right, a Yokohama Line car with the old textures.

as effort to find somewhere to run the big steamers since every one thought my Alburn 42 conversion in ts12 was too flat, I have swapped the track for schmalspurbahn 760 to 1067mm using protrack ask 42". One thing good about this layot was it used fma bridges with the rack just layed on top it it all swapped in one go. Have written to author but has not been on forum for a few years so doupt I will get a answer.

Also had another idea for the smaller locos, 9600 class and class 56 would be a model railway logging and or mining line would be ok, a small passenger service may even with the older railcars/ railbuses maybe.

Any ideas specially track plans or layots you think could be converted easy would be great

Thanks in advance

Tom

Nice work all.

So I am here to basically announce the release of Electro Island for TANE in July.
The release will be called: Electro Island 4 TANE Conversion Release

To let you know where I am in relation to the release I give you a checkpoint list.

Network: Japanese NG

Sort of work

- Redo Toshin Yellow line Installing new platforms an caternary as well as beautifying the route----->done
- Redo Toshin Yello line Installing new platforms an caternary as well as beautifying the route----->done
- Redo Toshin Airport line (TAP) ---> done
- Redo Yokohaba platforms ---> done
- Rebuilt NG platforms of Toshin Central (EKI)> done
- REO Blue Line to Hazima> done

Network: Japanese Shinkansen

Sort of work

- Replace North Portal of Shinkansen (Done)
- Enhancing Shin Hanyo Depot (Not Done > Todo
- Replacing slab under Keimei bridge or replacing it with a Hirochi type bridge (Not done) > Todo
- RE-testing the Shinkansen session to see if the North portal is working >Todo

Network: TGV:

- Probably replacing the White tunnels with Daniel Muller tunnels (under consideration) >Todo
(Under consideration: If this turns out to be too much work then it will be released with the white tunnels which are currently displaying the green textures but still work. Then a newer future version will have complete tunnel replacement on the TGV networks. Reason for this is that the Daniel Muller tunnel is consisting of a lot of parts so making a long tunnel takes time)

- Track replacement: (partly done for now) I will make sure everything just is neat and works in the next version ALL TGV track will be replaced with higher quality track )

Normal networks (not done--Todo)

- partly track replacement for this version. For everything else the old track is used (full replacement in new version)

Fault Checking on the following lines : partly done
(what I consider faults are : faulty signalling, not connected parts so basically all game breaking things)-Routes to check for faults:

> Shinkansen line (final testing for AI to do 1 more time)
> TGV (final testing for AI (repeat 1 more time_
> Northtropp Cicle line--> To be done in clockwise and anticlockwise directions + AI test -------->todo
> West Fast Line (WFL --> To be done and checked for manual driving and AI on drive command--->todo
> Steam Museum lines--> To be done for manual and AI driving---->todo
> EIL (East Island Line)--> To be done for Manual driving and AI on drive command--->todo

---------------
All of above during the coming 2 weeks
-----------------

After that phase 2 is entered:

- Making a release thread in Freewareforum
- Announcing the final release in Japanese Screenshot forum
- Making Release promo screenshots and uploading them
- Trying to make some maps
- Making a Release trailer for Youtube

Then Phase 3 is entered

- Release (probably last week of July)
- Support and announcement through the Freeware forum

Then Phase 4 enters:

- Release basic Shinkansen and TGV sessions (the same sessions that came with Electro Island 4 Final for TS12
- Release the Toshin Circle Line Sessions
- Writing documentation on how to properly fix high speed trains to run these sessions otherwise they will be spoilt by the physics (cab sway)

After this I consider to release new and more specialised sessions:

- Toshin Blue Line Session
- Toshin Yellow Line Session
- Toshin Airport Express Session
- Colden Monorail Session
- Northropp Circle Line Session
- Sessions for Normal network

---Trying to build one big Total session--(I did this for version 1 and maybe 2 but then Trainz was not optimised enough. I feel TANE on a new computer can maybe pull it off)

Electro Island for TANE will use only content that is on the DLS. It will be therefore not the most beautiful route but I consider it good enough giving the restrictions by using only DLS content. This is because at current I don't want to support a release where content is all over the web.

---WHAT IS NOT in this version:

- Interactvie airports and shipping

I will be making some sessions with Trains by Rizky after the basic sessions are out because his trains are too good to be not in a session. :)
After Release I will be returning working on the Icarus Shinkansen v 2.0. Whit the aim to merge both routes in the further future.

Hope this give you enough info on the release plans.

Fantastic work Hirochi. Arigato🌈 Will download as soon as possible 🙂🙂🙂

Cool!! Another bullet by Hirochi!! I hope to have the SIRL route totally done so I can field test it. Still got a lon gway to go. SIGH!!

I have to say a double thank you to Hirochi. The N700-8000 runs so good 'out of the box'. I have to make almost no modifications except that I like to add a 'diabletracksounds' tag to the config but thats it. Really hope you can update your older N700's and 700's too because these runs standard withouth the annoying Train sway in TANE. Perfect .

.

Edited to add. I take this back partially. You still will have to make modifications because of trainsway. I had tested this on 100 percent track condition tracks but at default it will sway like any other trains. Well it is only a little mod of the config. But otherwise perfect train. ":)

I think that the older contents should be updated because of errors and soon will no longer be supported. I know I can still get the C62, but I Can't get the D51-200 though, because i got an error saying that the body can't be loaded.

pagroove : tracksounds ==> I want using my new version track.

What do you mean? Do you mean that your track has an inbuilt track sound or do you want me to make a track sound for that.
Thanks again for the Excellent Sakura :)

pagroove : I'm sorry.
If you use "JMA SHINKANSEN BRIDGE".
Please download a new version track.
JMA SHINKANSEN ATRACK-SLAB <KUID2:461543:100242:1> upload ( 03 July 2018 )
new version track doesn't hear sound.
This track is used for a "JMA SHINKANSEN BRIDGE".
So it isn't necessary to change the config.
