Japan

Nice video and great session Pagroove. Just wondered how do you make all those shinkansen announcement sound ?
Welcome to the forum!, Nice ss btw.

Hi Rizky. I used a text to speech synthesizer for that then recording each announcement. http://imtranslator.net/translate-and-speak/speak/japanese/
Very handy and a very good pronunciation.

I have a request. Could you make the E3 Shinkansen. I ordered one at J-Trainz bus it was never delivered and he is using the E3 only as a promotional object on his website. I think an E3 would be easy to do for you if I compare it with the complex noses that you made for the Alfa X.
Does the E6 also get a custom cockpit BTW?

Thanks paagrove.
Yes, E3 might be easier, but I think I could do the exterior only.
Btw it'll be more easier to convert add-ons from railsim (the simulator that popular around Japanese besides bve) to trainz.
But it seems little illegal i think.
...
E6 and Alfa-x are just my test project (first content that i made in blender). I don't planning to make a custom cockpit, sorry.

KUID requests

Hi guys,

Can't thank you guys enough for the wonderful work you put into the Japanese rail community. I've been a major fan of Japanese Railways since accidentally finding the program Japan Railway Journal and learning lots about them. I often bulk download the majority of your assets for usage in game. I have come across some missing assets and have checked both the content manager and the auran white pages but neither turned up results. If you could point me in the right direction that would be great.

The first two I have are by @Rizky_adiputra and are from @AlexMaria's 201 series for tjhe Tokkaido Line.

<kuid:501228:1009976> Pantograph
<kuid:501228:29992999> Spark

The others I have are seemingly whole trains by @AlexMaria

<kuid:668654:101225> "JRC Consist -205-3100 series - Senseki Line (4-car set)"

<kuid:668654:101222>
<kuid:668654:101223>
<kuid:668654:101224>

<kuid:668654:101275> "JRC Consist 201-900 series - Chuo Line (3+7 car set)"

<kuid:668654:101273>
<kuid:668654:101270>
<kuid:668654:101271>

There are 3 dependencies in each of these two files which I'm assuming are the loco and rolling stock as per the rest of the trains in the megapack. Any help with these would be greatly appreciated.

Ben =)

i've found these: <kuid:501228:1009976>, <kuid:501228:29992999>, <kuid:668654:101225> and <kuid:668654:101275>.

You can download them here:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dPLVMYSjezUw9NTZMqW0flbDfcPfcLbH

The others are unknown to me:

Chuo Line 201-900 series consist:

<kuid:668654:101222>
<kuid:668654:101223>
<kuid:668654:101224>

Senseki Line 205-3100 series.

<kuid:668654:101273>
<kuid:668654:101270>
<kuid:668654:101271>

Jus a quick question.
Even if the consist is unavaible, can you still place the individual 201-900 and 205-3100 series cars or they are too missing dependencies?

Very interesting Rizky!

We in the italian trainz community have been converting addons from MSTS since even before trainz 2004, but converting from railsim is totally new to me.

Illegal?

No, you just should get the permission to do so from the add-on's original author (as far as i know there is no copyrighted/payware/both stuff for railsim).

Thanks for sending me these. The only way I knew what the consists were was by going into config file of the erroneous consist. Otherwise, if I just c;ock 'List Dependencies' it just shows me three missing assets for each consist and no clue as to what they are. What I have discovered though is that the Senseki Line 205-3100 is in my game but it's assets are under a completely different KUID number and not assigned to a consist, and the 201-900 is also in game so assigned to a different consist so it's possible at some stage you perhaps redid these two trains and the KUID numbers changed somewhere down the line? Especially if you have no idea what they are as well?

I agree with you here. The limitations of conversion are going to be in the licensing of the asset you want to convert. If it says nothing about it then I'm guessing that would make it legal but it would perhaps be courteous to get the original creator's permission before you do convert it? If you can't get hold of the creator and there is no note that explicitly forbids you from converting it just do it anyway.

That's exactly what happened with both the Senseki Line 201-3100 and Chuo Line 201-900; those two gave me a lot of problems (unaligned textures, asymmetrical fronts...) so i re-did them a couple of times.

A similar thing happened also with the Saikyo Line (6-door headmark) and the Keiyo Line later-styled 205 series, but according to what you've written they seem to be fine.

Then that's another mystery solved haha! Well keep up the work, the consists etc. you have created are wonderful and it's always great to expand on the Japanese market. There is some really good stuff over there and of course some rather unique things too. I don't know if you like animals but have you ever heard of Tama or Nitama? They are a big part of the Wakayama Electric Railway.

Tokyo Station.

Hey guys i was wondering on where can i get the Buildings for the Tokyo Station. Because im working on a Full-scale Trackwork of the Tokaido Shinkansen.

Hello, I think it is the Japan forum, because I have to tell Hirochi that the Maglev train does not appear in TRS19. No way. So I think there is something wrong for TRS19.
I hope he read this post and do a miracle.
Best regards
edo

What's the exact error you get with the MagLev? If you let me know the asset number and the exact error you get I might be able to guide you with fixing it as I use a lot of these assets myself.

Depends on what kind of content you want to share on your new website.

If they are reskins you should get the permission from the author of the original model (and still credit him in the download page), but you can't redistribute those original models (and their dependencies).

The error is not about config. The train in CM is ok but when I start drive mode the train does not appear.
