PRR Screenshots

You've got mail. :)

These look remarkably good in TRS19 for their age.

Looking forward to your route as always. :D

Railwoodman,
I'm still enjoying your original - mostly unfinished - release, and looking forward to any subsequent releases. The route is such fun to drive and a wonderful fit for my PRR stable.

Its one of the more picturesque routes I've come across, and has a very real, steam-era feel to it.

Health and life always take priority, but I'm glad to see you are returning to champion the PRR with your talents. It's always cool seeing your screen shots. The yard shots with the 0-4-0 switcher are particularly nice! Your attention to detail is very evident.

Thanks for your hard work on this. I know it will be well-received when you decide it is ready. :Y:

Thank you for the praise . But it's really going off what scratchy coal country did to show the way . Works is now getting back on track . I'll will be uploading this to the DLS this time . I't will still be unfinished . This way , someone with better working knowledge can have at it . I'm about a year behind what I wanted to be . But that because I run trainz also . And love running other routes . But PRR is where my hart is . LOL  And I now have an old friend back .

Really nice shots Matt. I love that style of caboose in the first shot. It usually features prominently when I am running PRR trains. :D

The route looks very nice! The experimental Articulated looks right at home there!

Coal Country again same area but replaced all the trees and removed most the grass splines - in TRS19 the improvement is worth all the effort.

In the Appalachians the seasons have changed from late summer to fall - coal is still King.

Where can I find that HH1s?
The PRR HH1 in that pic is a repaint I did of Ben Neal's USRA 2-8-8-2. It still needs some work. The HH1 class were 6 ex N&W Y3's so there were some cosmetic differences in the model by 1943 when the PRR acquired them but it's close. Big diff is the location of air compressors and lack of Worthington BL feedwater system on the USRA model.

But if you're looking for an HH1s that's not one. HH1s was a single simple expansion 2-8-8-2 loco and it was gone by 1928 - 15 years before these showed up. The obvious difference is 4-27 in dia cylinders for the HH1s vs 2-25 and 2-39 in diameter cylinders for the compound loco. The front cylinder difference would be hard to disguise or ignore.

There are a couple of N2s in the pic - repaints I did of Ben Neal's USRA light 2-10-2. The N2s class were 130 USRA heavy 2-10-2 locos but I don't know of any heavy versions of the 2-10-2 model in Trainz. I can live with the difference in size for now but I did modify the driver bogey animdist for compatibility with the espec I made based on the N2s. 57 in vs 63 in for the driver diameter does effect TE and steaming characteristics. The Pennsy eventually rebuilt these into N2sa class with belpaire firebox

There's a version of the N2s loco on the DLS by someone else.

Out of view is an L2s - a repaint I made of Ben's USRA light 2-8-2 which is the correct model for this loco. There's a version of the L2s on the DLS but it uses one of Ben's smaller Baldwin 2-8-2 locos.

All of my locos have custom especs and modified smoke effects. But none of these repaints are currently available for distribution.

By the way that's a K&L I1sa sandwiched in the middle. It's one of my favorites.

Bob Pearson

PS.
Here's a shot (in TANE SP3) of a very early version of Coal Country that Scratchy put out as freeware. The billboard trees don't look too bad - if the light is just right.
Left to right PRR locos L2s 2-8-2 No 9627, N2s 2-10-2 No 9731 and HH1 2-8-8-2 No 374.

I remember those .:D Always wonder what happen . Love the repaints BTW . Fit real well on the route The more PRR the better I always say :hehe: Great shots , keep um coming

Very nice looking loco there Peter. Would make a great addition to Trainz. Hope you can find the time to finish it someday.

I was thinking of working with Ben's kit a few years ago and making the USRA heavy 2-10-2 version and from there an N2s. Someday maybe, I can still dream. I have 2 small ng mikados to make for the EBT before that however.

You really know how to find spots to get nice shots . Glad you like it . I'm hoping the next upload will be a lot better with a session . Right now AI are driving me nuts .

The route looks nice, but I am missing a lot of dependencies and since there is nowhere else to place them:

Evilcrow,
Amazing winter shots. Doggone, you make Tidewater look absolutely frigid! Reminds me of Winters outside of Philly all those many years ago.

Ken ...... All we need was the ground shake and rumble from the Engines and cars from that shot . Nicely done . As always . I think you made my Christmas Card this year . LOL . Thanks for the link :D
