PRR Screenshots

That looks normal to me.

The TADDaemon and TrainzUtil windows can usually be ignored. However, when you close Trainz or Content Manager, TADDaemon will stay open for a short time before automatically closing. Whenever you want to turn the computer off after closing Trainz or CM, you should wait for TADDaemon to close itself before turning off your computer, because if you don't, you may have a database repair waiting for you the next time you launch Trainz.

Zachary.

Just wait until you load that monster 10,000 board route of yours in T2010 and do a database repair :hehe: With just short of 200k assets it takes mine around 2 hours :'(

Same here. The pain that I've been experiencing is when occasionally CM will lock up after starting, after which I have to manually terminate CM and TADDaemon and let it do a database repair for around a couple of hours when I go to start CM again. :n:

A little while ago, CM locked up while downloading lots of shrubs by Jankvis. I had to manually terminate CM and the 3 instances of TrainzUtil that were running, but fortunately TADDaemon closed itself shortly after, and there was no database repair when I went to open CM again, and the remaining assets were still in the Download Helper for me to resume downloading. :Y:

OK Finally pressed QUIT

Updating Trainz Asset Database
Scanning for modified asset files, checking for faulty assets ... etc ...

Blue line across screen progressively moving slowly.

Letting it go until it is finished ... Anything else needs to be done, when it finally completes ?

What is the first thing I should do when restarting PC & Trainz tomorrow ?

Open CM ... or run a driver route.

You have been a great help !

I'm Technologically Challenged ... I can't even figer' owt' how to answer my GF IPhone ... lol:hehe:

EDIT: Finished Updating TAD ... DOS screen self closed.

Not that I know of.

What is the first thing I should do when restarting PC & Trainz tomorrow ?

Open CM ... or run a driver route.

I run Trainz through the "Launch Trainz" option in the "File" menu in CM. That way, when I exit Trainz, CM will automatically start back up.

No problem. :)

First of all' I just love all the pics you have been posting of your route on "The Curve"! and can't wait to see the finished product! (I know it takes time, and I will be patient) One question though. I downloaded your demo the other day and was able to find all the dependencies except: kuid<59940:20614> and kuid<59940: 20616>. I assume they are track. I've searched all the sites I know of and also googled it' but I can't seem to locate them. Could you please tell me where I could get them? Any help would be appreciated!

The track I used was RTS Romanian Trainz Studio http://www.trainzro.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=41&Itemid=56

Sine CFR v2.0

I haven't had time to take screenshots ... but all these previous screenshotless posts will be edited, and filled up with 10 screenshots each.

I must have tested 500 types of tracks ... all kink in turnouts, or are bad on framerates ... even Greenery (which are great looking BTW) ?

The route I am working on now, will totally obsolete the previous released route which is on Mediafire.

My previous Mediafire release was meant as a test of assets, for TS10 users.

I am feeling more rejuvenated (went to the local bevarage store and picked up a case of fountain of youth rejuvinating juice) and I am resuming work on my route.

Sometimes you have to sit back and take a break, and think about priorities, and how to do things effectively.

I hope to have some screenshots up by tonight of MO interlocking, and the Cresson Engine facility.

On my previous release of the WIP Fishlipsatwork DEM ... Did anyone like it, or can you offer constructive criticisium on the route ?

The bridge is on the (east side of the mountain) Tunnelhill side of the Gallitzin/Allegheny/Portage bores aka: SF Interlocking - Sugar Furnace (as there were many iron ore charcoal furnace complex's all along the PRR ... Bennington Furnace, Birmingham Forge, Union Furnace ... etc ...

I have totally re-worked this 2.37% gradient area, known as the "Slide".

http://www.railfanguides.us/pa/altoona/map3/

The bridge went over where the original pre-1854 PRR mainline was double tracked via the Muleshoe Secondary line, that went to Muleshoe Curve, Hollidaysburg, and on to Petersburg junction (near Huntingdon). Prior to @ 1850 Tyrone and Altoona were still just small towns, and the Horseshoe Curve was still just in the planning stage of construction.

I am also doing the old Muleshoe Curve Secondary line, as well as the Horseshoe Curve line.
