TC3 - safety valve noise problem

Does anyone else have this problem? Some steam engines imported into TC3 run fine for two minutes and then begin a loud, piercing safety valve hiss that is continuous and annoying. (Examples are the Beyer Garratt and 0-4-4T M7 tank)

I have tried deleting temporarily all the relevant wave files, but the noise persists, so must be built in somewhere in the main programme (as is the track click sound). Changing the individual enginesound file doesn't help.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Same in 2009. These are old enginespecs it appears and the safety is configured wrong. Have a go at the enginespec yourself, or swap it out for one you know works.

I hope you will search further on the forums for an answer, because I do remember instructions for the fix being posted here after TC3 was released.
