Hi Piotr,

Glad you're showing in TrainZ some real European train services compositions, as you've beautifully done in the Polish Trainz Forum :) !

Cheers,

Philippe

Hi Piotr,

Excellent :) !
Could you please specify the itinerary of the R220 train (just the departure and arrival stations), in addition to its number, name and date ?
As a keen of European relations, this would improve my knowledge in them : the difficulty is that the number of these trains changed often from year to year, according to the annual decisions of the European timetable conference o_O ...

Cheers,

Philippe

Ahoj Philippe, see here for more. It seems that kilan's screen shows some exceptional consist and routing, standard composition didn't include CZ post car and was lead in electric traction all along. Fell free to bookmark that website, it includes a lot of interesting info, You might be interested in...

R 220 is one of the rather difficult historic trains to re-create since it changed its consist a couple of times one the way. It was an overnight train from Moscow to Prague through Kiev, Lviv and Košice on the way. Travelling for 2 nights and 1 day she was leaving Moscow Kievskaya terminal at 10:38 evening, Kiev Pass at 1:17, Lviv Pass at 13:27, Košice at 23:15 and reaching Praha hl. n. at 9:43 in the morning. Vagonweb.cz page linked by Jagg is helpful, however it shares a theretical consist based on the info at the schedule. A photo of the actual train would bring more direct info about what was really sitting in the consist, however I do not have one from May 1997. I do however have a photo of this particular car in that particular train at Praha hl. n. station in May 1997 though. It was car no 52 22 70-80 202-8 WLABm (035 02028) of Lviv depot, working as a direct overnight connection from Lviv to Prague and present within the consist only between Lviv and Prague. Depot Lviv seemed to be most active in individual paintschemes for their cars in the 1990s and early 2000s. Yet another example worth nothing from their stable would be 52 22 70-80 214-6 WLABm (035 02143) present within the consist of the night train "Tisa Express" (Moscow-Kiev-Lviv-Debrecen-Budapest Keleti) in May 2001:

Speaking of R 220/221, this is what was left of her just a few years later, in June 2001:

A humble set of 4 sleepers operating as direct overnight service between Prague/Bratislava and Kiev Pass with a postal van included between Košice and the border station of Чоп (Chop) in Ukraine.

Speaking of "Tisa Express", she survived for quite longer then "Dukla" but finding her historic photos is even more difficult then in the previous case. However there's a movie showing her consist in the younger history, taking us back to 2010:
