Honestly I can't really see the benefits of 2010 at the moment. sure, most of the awesome Russian content coming out now is only for '10, and the "Speedtreez" are supposed to be a massive improvement in detail from the 2D ones, but I've heard too many times about them looking "wrong" from a long distance away and they are a huge weight on performance. Correct me if i'm wrong but if i was playing either I don't think I would be able to tell the difference between the games.
Probably the only thing that would sway me to keep buying the latest versions would be an improvement on general performance- something Trainz should focus more on. I understand that that needs more money more employees more research, but i think its something Trainz must do eventually if it still wants to compete against other train sims.
