Thanks for the info borderreiver.

The models I am making are intended to be a representative example of the genre; if I were to make a model of all the many different variations it would take me months and become somewhat tedious!

I probably will make another trailer variation and, if I can find some decent pics of the ultrasonic probes carried underneath the Ultrasonic Test Unit, I will attempt to model that one.

Rob.

(This is in T:ANE which seems to have taken on a very warm sunset type of glow recently, I don't know why!)

I'm sure they will be welcomed Rob, - there's a major lack of 1st generation DMU's in Trainz.

You can say that again Annie!

Kudos to Rob for following through on his desire to see these units in Trainz. The only observation I would make, based purely on the screenshots, is that the window sills and door frames do look a bit two-dimensional. Is there any way to give them a bit more depth?

Remember they are made in sketchup which in a little limited compared to some of the other content creation tools.

Thanks, they're something that I've wanted in Trainz for a while now, I'm surprised that they haven't been modelled before now, their perceived usefulness notwithstanding!

Sorry, they will come more or less as seen as they are. It is possible to make the windows and doors appear less 2 dimensional but I'm simply not going to bother. They're good enough for my use so it's a case of 'take it or leave it' for those who may be interested in having them.

My next post on this topic will be in the Freeware Announcements forum.

Rob, you built it so its your say so.
After all, it is for the DLS.
For anyone who says "its just a DMU" when it comes to building them, the allocation data reveals there is rather more to it than that, with no less than six vehicle variants associated with the class, DMBS, DMCL, DTCL, TBSL. TSL and DMBS single.
Multiply that by livery variations and the number of vehicles quickly escalates.
A build of something like the 101 Class over the thirty years of their service under BR, Passenger Transport Executive and Network South East liveries will likely be well in to double figures.

Yep. I also changed the light scripts from AJS Superscript to LightUp because Superscript does not work correctly in TANE. Will be a private mod unless I can obtain permissions from bird_d00

Yes, looks nice, I agree with Trainmaster189. LightUp script... that sounds interesting.
