Excellent shots everyone.

A couple from me of a double header on Swanage during a diesel gala - a class 26 and 45 top and tail down to the River Frome and back.

I'm sorry it's not trains! I noticed trainz is rather thin on the ground for 70s - 80s cars so I hope what I'll be releasing soon will go some way to rectifying that. What better to have for Trainz's first 70s british car than britains best 70s car, The Morris Marina! (You can keep your Contaches and your Ferrari 365s).

Here's a sentence I never thought I'd write: Those Marinas look good!

But Britain's best car from that era? The Rover SD1, no question :)

My father once owned a 1970s Blue Morris Marina van, the cars look good klambert.

As for the best 1970s British car, one of my schoolfriends in 6th form ran a Triumph Stag, and yes, his father was "loaded" to be able to buy one for him.
However, to my mind the commonest cars of the 70s in the UK have to include the Ford Escort MkI (1968-74) & MkII (1974-80), Ford Cortina MkIII (1970-76) & MkIV (1976-1982), plus the Ford Fiesta Mk1 (1976-83).
I think that the Police even had a couple of Ford Fiesta "Panda" Cars in light blue in the late 70s/early 80s.
Two "rare birds" I clearly remember close by my home during the late 1970s, a Ford Capri John Player Special and a Reliant Scimitar.
As for a non-UK car vividly in my memory another of my 6th form classmates had an early 70s yellow Datsun Cherry and I recall having to help him push start it one cold winter's evening when there was snow on the ground!

Hey Guys, here's a few screenshots of my route UK Main, Soon to be available for download on the DLS. Its a UK Based route featuring mainlines and branch lines with plenty of stations and working industries to keep you occupied. Once fine tuned I will hopefully upload some sessions that I have created for it too.
The Route has been built in TANE however some of the content featured (including locos) was not created by me. I hope that this is okay to use it in UK Main for others to enjoy.

Also please feel free to Edit / Merge /Improve this Route and make it your own. Its not quite perfect but i hope you enjoy it!

This section is one of two dead straight sections of track named the "Westville Races". Due to the lack of anything in this region, the lines between Westville and Grassacre (on the way to Exton) and Lydham were able to be built in a straight line with only three tunnels between both lines. The lines were named races due to the construction of the two lines literally being a race between to rival companies (prior to nationalisation). The North and South Race diverge at Whetstone Grand Junction, with the Northern "Race", the 3rd rail electrified line to Lydham continuing due east and the Southern "Race" turning 45 degrees heading South East towards Grassacre.
Pictured below is the Southern "Race", pictured after the recent electrification of the line between Grassacre and Westville.

Now to the WIP section of the route, as this bit gets much less British so I won't post too much about it here as the "Western Region" is essentially a rendition of New South Wales with three British-Signalled routes forced through just to link Westville to other major cities in the region.

Whetstone Grand Junction Station, notable for the meeting of three different lines all with different operating voltages. Furthest Right is the 25kV AC mainline from Exton in the south, Centre lines are the 750V DC third rail lines from Lydham in the centre of the region, and on the left is endpoint of the 1500V DC overhead Westville Suburban Network, which also runs on a completely different signalling system than the rest of the railway network. Also working on reskins of the Class 800 and the NSW trains for the route, too.
