Having moved Edinburgh to Glasgow to TRS19, I think I've filled most of the textures holes created in the process. This is just a WIP shot of the area looking east across Philipstoun, with the Union Canal to the right of the railway.
Most incoming mainline charters over the WSR are steam hauled with a change to branch locomotives at Bishops Lydeard, but WCR Duffs have made it as far as Minehead on occasion, providing me with the perfect excuse to play with the new toys in TRS22:
Class 08 D3591 on a (very) short engineer's train, here taking a load of ballast to Eldon's siding:
Also, a not often seen area of Herston Halt; Herston Bank where the railway stores certain 'bits and pieces'. Seen here from the West, Herston Halt is the other side of the road bridge. The luggage van is in use as a permanent store:
Out of interest, and to add a little more to the thread, I decided to try and recreate one of them on my Edinburgh Glasgow route for comparison. The main difference is there's OHLE on the through lines along with a bit more traffic.
@pfx: Thanks for the compliment! Yes, they’re on the Edinburgh-Dundee section of the ECML, taken in TRS22. A very nice route, if I do say so myself. Nice screenshot in your end as well - that’s some very nice lighting!
Thanks. I find if you set the time of day to late afternoon, the shadows provide a nice effect. I had pondered getting the Edinburgh Dundee route but as I don't really do any driving, probably not worth it. My own one goes as far north as Dunfermline, or will at some stage!
