Lovely pics everyone.
Most incoming mainline charters over the WSR are steam hauled with a change to branch locomotives at Bishops Lydeard, but WCR Duffs have made it as far as Minehead on occasion, providing me with the perfect excuse to play with the new toys in TRS22:

Class 08 D3591 on a (very) short engineer's train, here taking a load of ballast to Eldon's siding:
Also, a not often seen area of Herston Halt; Herston Bank where the railway stores certain 'bits and pieces'. Seen here from the West, Herston Halt is the other side of the road bridge. The luggage van is in use as a permanent store:

Seems that this thread's been a bit quiet lately. I hope this is not a signal of times to come.
Anyway... here's a Deltic leaving Edinburgh Waverly in 1976. 5 screenshots, to hopefully get people back in here.
Trees block the Type 5 express locomotive a bit, but still a nice screenshot in my eyes.
To those wondering why there's black bars at the top - that's automatically done by Apple's new MacBook Pros in fullscreen mode.

Nice shots. Are they taken on the ECML route?
Out of interest, and to add a little more to the thread, I decided to try and recreate one of them on my Edinburgh Glasgow route for comparison. The main difference is there's OHLE on the through lines along with a bit more traffic.

Thanks. I find if you set the time of day to late afternoon, the shadows provide a nice effect. I had pondered getting the Edinburgh Dundee route but as I don't really do any driving, probably not worth it. My own one goes as far north as Dunfermline, or will at some stage!
