NZ pics

Decided to fire up google earth and T:ANE and see if I'm any good with surveyor:
Nothing you see is final and constructive criticism appreciated
Woburn: (Curved track for the station is a real pain, its wobbly as hell coming through there at 60kph. The station and track is to be worked on as I am tempted to replace the curved platform because of multiple issues)

Sorry about multiple missing pics, limit of 10 in a single post was reached.

The current state of Waterloo. Still looking for a suitable roof. Note the staggered stations and whilst they are not the correct length, they are pretty close:

And the end of the line at Naenae:
[EDIT] Nope, reached the limit of 10 pics in a post :(

The Woburn triangle in the distance:

Gracefield industrial line/siding/whatever ya want to call it (What's left of it anyways):
Note it doesn't actually look overgrown at all in real life. Just added for fun:

Looking the other way from the other end:

Level crossing protecting Parkside Rd: (Note, everything after this (even track position atm) is fictional. I'll get around to tidying this area eventually

Note the invisible tracks allowing for manual control of the crossing:

Hi Techladdie: You've done some good work.

I quite like your curved platform. You've got to remember that in real life, through station trains on a curved track would generally slow-down somewhat. Leading into the platform I'd put a 40klm speed limit to give a more realism.

Also have a look at this platform roof,... <kuid2:84609:28135:1> LNER Island Platform Roof
I've used it on several occasions.

Cheers,

Roy

 Nice pictures Sir,, was wondering, could you tell me the name of the big green Building in your first picture, Corrugated Sheet metal design.

Its shown in Message #1327, is that part of the Loader on the Tracks, or separate?

 Thanks for sharing your route pictures

More work done, in the Hornby area. Re-instated an old siding and placed a temporary building to mark " The Warehouse " location.

Found out that the measurements I was using from Waterloo down were incorrect, resulting in the removal of practically everything. Plus side is that I can redesign the parts I wasn't happy with

Bridge is currently a placeholder to remind me where the approx location should be:

Hi techladdie,

Is that 3ft 6in gauge track in your screenshots? I've been hunting around for good narrow gauge track, can you share the author/content name?

Thanks

Hey, Is there any way I can get some of your KiwiRail/NZR loco's/cars and routes? I really admire how much time you've put time and effort into them and I would really appreciate them, because I am a NZR enthusiast.

Google earth and estimation can only go so far...

The curves from Ava heading towards where the Melling line branches off were done in about 20 minutes of constant looking at google maps, rough and inaccurate measuring and some shoddy tracklaying. For now it stays but eventually it'll be replaced with something more accurate
(Just had to do something today I guess)

The great wall of Woburn reminds me of what will (eventually) need to be removed from behind the wall to due to inaccuracies:

That's all for now ;)

New Zealand Routes

Hey - I'm working on an Auckland route, So far Waitakare - Ranui is laid, and about 5% done.
Also, I'm doing the time era of when the DC's and DF's were hauling them. (Late 1970's to 2014)
Still figuring out how to post pictures, lol.
