Evening people.... Great work!!!
I was thinking of starting on the yard in Salem VA, its a bit difficult but the yard is mostly flat from what i've seen on google earth and terrain maps. This one might take a lil while to get done but i think im up for the challenge. if yall have any pointers for me for going about this please i can use all the advice i can get.

I thought the same thing, started looking up 'Salem Yard' the closest thing to a yard I found was a siding

Project: Illinois

Train 1: NS Coal (75 Ld. Coal DPU)

Train 2: CN Container (DPU)

Pulling up to meet the NS Coal

Three way meet between NS, CN & now Metra (I actually didn't even expect them to line up like this. Perfect timing then I guess)

NS Coal passing over Crossing 1 of 7 in the Residential Block

All three meeting around the Station/Interlocking area)

CN Containers leave the main & head to the yard (Staging) as the DPU for the NS Coal passes on the main

Train 4: CP Autoracks departs the Yard (Staging)


Part 1 for now, will post more when I get more done on this "Test Session"
