USA Pics

Today, I finally got Rollins into T:ANE with nothing missing or faulty. My favorite route can now get some good mileage, lol. As the train approached the summit, I turned on the snow, now I have an excuse to add those snow-fighter units to the front of the train! I'll post the downhill pics tomorrow if there is a want for them.

Ben,

I've have been trying to get Rollins into TANE myself. I have loaded the route and all dependencies and aside from a few warnings everything looks OK but when I attempt to open it in Surveyor or in game I get a blank screen. Any chance you could offer advice?

Thanks,

Paul

Nice Greetings

Epo:)

Epo, loving the LE&E shots!

As to the SCL shots, that was an unreleased route that I was playing around on for a little bit.

Now, for some shots on one of my routes nearing completion. These shots were all taken in what is, just by sheer virtue of location, one of the busiest spots on the entire route. This yet to be named junction sits at the crossing of the LE&E over both the Michigan Central and the Grand Trunk mainlines, and sits in between three major yards of all three roads. The transfer traffic between yards due to it's proximity augments the long distance passenger and freight traffic of all three lines, as well as the various local freights that serve the many industries in the area, including the nearby Studebaker plant, Axis Chemicals, Bethlehem Steel, and others.

On a cold December morning in 1948, our first catch of the day is the Detroit connection to the GTW/CNR's International Limited, which pauses at the depot before gingerly crossing the diamonds on it's way inbound.

Next up, a pair of new LE&E F3s handle a westbound auto-parts train bound for Cincinnati.

Just after the LE&E freight crosses the diamond, a short GTW transfer run crosses the diamond, bringing cars from the Pere Marquette interchange to the GTW yard a few miles down the line.

Shortly after, a NYC caboose hop hustles across the diamond. The tower operator must have wanted this train out of the way quickly...

...Because a minute later, this LE&E outbound commuter train bounced over the diamonds.

A little bit after the commuter run passed, a GTW mixed freight rolls by. The tower operator switched the train over to track two in order to avoid the PM switcher at the interchange just behind the camera.

Next up, a NYC Hudson slams the diamonds as it leads the Chicago Mercury towards it's namesake city.

With the Mercury safely over the diamonds, the dispatcher gives LE&E train number 351, the Executive, the all-clear signal. On the point are two of the LE&E's rebuilt passenger FTs, assigned as backup power to the LE&E's top trains.

SLRR TOFC train trundles through a diamond in quite literally the middle of nowhere in 1981. Starting to show its age, the paint scheme of the Bicentennial unit, 1776 - now 3397, is seen to be fading away at the rear. It was never repainted, but it was renumbered.

New kid on the block

A trio of brand new F7s are on the point of an eastbound general merchandise freight as it kicks up snow going through town. With the storm picking up, the crew will probably want to get that train in before it gets any worse. That kid is probably hoping for a snow day!

A Milwaukee Road train climbs St. Paul Pass a few miles east of Avery, Idaho after stalling at Stetson siding because the dispatcher made the mistake of thinking the train would be fine on its own without electric locomotives being added. The train slowly ground to a halt, even with all 3 SD40-2s pulling at notch 8. So an EF-4 had to be sent up to help the train get moving. Here it can be seen crossing Stetson Creek Bridge.
