1972 was the year that ruined the EL. Hurricane Agnes destroyed much of it's infrastructure, and as a result of the massive debt that the EL accumulated from repairing it's mainline, the N&W divested it's Dereco subsidiary of it's EL holdings. To top it off, the repairs were not only costly, but also time consuming. For much of 1972, the EL was forced to route it's trains around troubled areas over the rails of competitors such as Penn Central and the B&O. Here's a trailer train rerouted over PC blasting by the leads to Montgomery Steel's Cambria works.

I'm having so much fun just running this on a tiny route. bravo. If anyone can't decide which payware to get, I would say to get this. well worth my money.
