Once upon a time in the West...

Thanks Normhart!
The route is a small, simple 4-board layout I did to pass the time over the weekend. There really aren't that many really good 'wild west' type routes about, are they? Come to think of it you don't see much pre-1910 stuff in this thread at all.
Here's some more shots, this time with W&ARR's 4-4-0, 'Texas':

The caboose is from the DLS. Idk what the name is off the top of my head. The signals are Grahmseas, which are not available anymore.

If you want some matching passenger cars, Pencil42 made a combine and coach to go with the General and Texas.

That is a nice shot. May I ask why the baggage carriage/luggage van is at the rear? Is there only a turntable at the end, and the loco has just turned, not the entire rake of carriages? Is it being used as a support carriage/guard's van as is done in Britain? Just a tip, if it is being used as a standard V&T baggage carriage and the entire train has been turned, the V&T always ran their luggage van directly behind the tender or the mail carriage if one was in use. Just trying to make the most realistic shot.

Interesting question...I kind of just put it the end automatically. In Britain, it is standard practice to run with a "brake" or "guards" van or coach at the end of the train, as you said. So I guess I'm just used to it.
The shot is more about atmosphere than realism though, but well done for spotting that.
