UP5521, was the Tidewater Western's Northerns, being built in the mid twenties, based on the Northern Pacific's Class A?
In the mid twenties, yep, the engines builder's plate has August of 1925 and as for the design base, it is leaning towards the central of Georgia railroad big Apple but the only difference is the feedwater heater and the Vanderbilt tender, and there is a set of 3 thermal syphons in the firebox for steam production and efficiency.

The Tidewater, being a primarily steam hauler even in the 1980's, do you think they would've supported the ACE 3000 project?
