Abandoned line: Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee
Good Morning my friend,
Only been to Chicago couple of times in the last 50 yrs, once to help someone move to Champagne Urbana I think, and once on way to some friends just retiring out of Navy. Quite a busheling City in the days. And we didn't have time to check around all the Rails that pass thru the windy City!
Pictures of your WIP Route look great, keep on trucking Brother, eeehhhhh, Railing!
Unfortunately like everywhere else, we have Rails gone!

Sorry for late reply - I don't check here often and have notifications turned off for this thread as I don't want my email getting spammed from it.
I've been to most of the rail areas but not all as some are in the dangerous areas that it won't be worth going to. Chicago even from 10 years ago has changed and not for the better unfortunately.
Chicago used to have more trains but from the links you posted - most are either abandoned or torn up due to lack of customers or just not worth keeping it going anymore...

Great shots Hiawathamr and TrainMLG, but TrainMLG, you should paste those links using the icon that looks like planet earth with a chain link. Just pasting onto the thread does not always work, although sometimes it seems to. I had to copy and paste the links into the browser.
