Took the camera and the drone for a little trip. First catch of the day is the 1st trick yard switcher at Canal Street building the daily transfer between Vernon and Sanford
Canal Street Yard joins with the North/South Washington Sub at CP Clark, where the drone caught a light power move through the plant. In the background are the ruins of the old US Steel plant on Lake Stevens, though there are rumors a new plant may open to make rebar from scrap metal.
And the last one before finding lunch is the daily South Vernon local L-WAS110 departing Canal Street with 30 cars of mostly lumber and plastic pellets. 6061 was originally built in 1952 for the CB&Q.
The route is still a work in progress and loosely based in the Pacific Northwest. Still experimenting with free-handing mountain terrain, so it's a bit flat at the moment. Currently working on the northern end of my fictional subdivision in Sanford. Hoping to have the yard finished by tonight.
