I deleted the stock click clack sounds and the rolling stock came to life with sound

Those sound right on the mark Dan! How do you get them to "ripple" down the consist?

I watched a very good tutorial video by WIT Simulations on how to make custom slack sounds and this is the result. Thanks for the kind words!

Awesome. I found the tutorial and am looking forward to giving it a try. It's too bad you can't use stereo. A bit of right-to-left or left-to right would give some great realism, but how it would know which of those was front-to back depending on your viewpoint would be a problem.
