UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

First attempt at a screenshot - hope it works. A morning goods coasts down the incline towards Caerwys on the Mold to Denbigh line, North Wales, just before closure.

Mold and Denbigh Line

BR 2MT no. 78038 of Rhyl shed is pictured waiting in the down sidings at Mold. This line was originally the Mold and Denbigh Junction Railway and closed to passenger traffic in 1962. This yard is now a supermarket car park.

Mold and Denbigh Line

Matt - thanks very much. The line is a WIP and taking a fair while as I'm trying to make it as accurate as possible to the early-60's (although using off-the-shelf assets). I'd hope to put it on the DLS but it while be a while.

Rob - yes you're right - it is now the site of the Tesco in Mold.

Meanwhile here's Standard 4MT no. 75054 of Mold Junction Shed approaching Hendre Sidings (between Nannerch and Rhydymwyn) with a Denbigh to Chester passenger train.

Nice to see some steam locos!

I'll TRY and post some pics of my route this week, I will have to get a better monitor though, the resolution is far too low :-(

The quality of the work being put into your routes is outstanding!

CAMSHIRST

A WIP - Pure nostalgia inspired by Lord Claud Hamilton's wonderful UK Winter routes:

A J15 pulls away from the Home signal entering Camshirst.

A Class 24 enters the station yard while road clearing proceeds.

Day Of Rememberence

I like your shots Gamerouche what route are you using?
Here are aa few from me.

On Sunday 13/11/2011 the Ole Valley Railway Last Gala of the Year fell on remebernce day so a specail train of remberence was put on to take a selection of people from stations along the line Trentfield where they would then be taken on to Kingstown for a rembernce service.
tlblade_20111114_0000.jpg

The train started at Templebay setting out at 08:56 behind 5157 Gaslgow Highlander and 6108 Seaforth Highlander. This would be the last day of services between Olmouth and Templebay as the line is closed over the winter for maintanice.
tlblade_20111114_0007.jpg

the Two locos stop at Olemouth passing one of the normal services behined the lines 42xx and 57xx.
tlblade_20111114_0013.jpg

We see the pair climbing past Banshley Junction box towards Wolverton.
tlblade_20111114_0026.jpg

Here the pair arrive at Trentfield at 10:17 from here the Black 5 would be turned around and would take the train back with 45537 Private.E.Sykes VC. At 11:00am locos 45537, 56025, 6108, 5157 and 5433 all blow the whistle to start a two minute silince for all those on and around the trentfield station and to end it.
tlblade_20111114_0031.jpg

The Final Shot is at 12:30 with 5157 and 45537 Leaving to take the train back to Templebay.

@ T L Blade, thanks, the route is my updated version of Lielestosbrat's (Rob) Branthorpe & Kilderdale Railway.

There is a version 2 on the DLS by winjmoore.
