UK Screenshots for Pre BR Blue. High resolution warning.

I went with making composite coaches because they were a common type on the NER with 1st class coaches being less common. I wasn't sure what the situation was with 3rd class coaches and I couldn't find any useful information at the time I was making the coaches so I didn't make any. Perhaps that's something I could look at again when I'm in the mood for doing texture work.

Very close to being finished now...

Working out some session stuff but its tricky with nearly all the locos being payware, may just release it without a session. Possibly looking at making a second version in LNER.

However, look at those coaches and those lines... love me some LMS

She's certainly overloaded for this climb, back to the drawing board for that consist. Probably need to cut it down a bit.

Hey Tanker. Just a little thing, when you're in a depot with third rail, the third rail should have two bits of wood either side known as kick boards. Mike 10 has third rail track like that, you'll often see then in depots like Slade Green or Lovers Walk.

Chris :)

Hey Chris! I took your advice on changing the Depot track to protected board third rail and it just so turns out that Nexusdj did make some after all! :)

Hey Tanker! Wow, I didn't know he did some! I shall have to download it! That does look more like the depots on the Southern, it was just that the kick boards were there to protect staff in and around the depot.

Finally lost my marbles and decided to do 45ft and 60ft sections of track on the WIP route. Nearly all the points have been done and a section out of Dacre up to the first incline.

Very good looking screenshots Jimmy. All those fishplates! - no wonder you needed a cuppa.

A mineral train passing through Morrow station on the Grimwold branch on my alternative Norfolk layout.

I think these are really nice shots. May I ask which turntable you are using - is it available on the DLS?
Thank you
Best wishes
Ian

I think it's been asked before Ian in this thread but after work I shall get the name for you. Knowing me it'll most likely be a CL item.

Also thanks Kotanga, it wasn't as bad as I thought, did it in sections over the 2 days. It's given me the detail I wanted. What tank is that? Looks VERY pre grouping haha.

The saddle tank was built in the 1850s and I don't know much at all about its origins. It's very old payware from TS2004 that I've modified a fair bit and it runs very nicely. Perfect for working loose coupled mineral trains on the Grimwold branch since it's a steady slow runner and unlike some of the other mid-19th century engines I have it has reasonably good brakes.

When you change your forests from 2d spline to 3d trees the difference is pretty good. Now I just need to do the other 5000 trees

A word of advice about those trees Jimmy. Bulk Asset Replace Tool is your friend. It can replace almost any asset with another of your choice in mass quantities. In TRS19 it can replace building assets now too!

It helped me cover a lot of ground on my Pre-Grouping Version of the Cornwall Region. Chrisaw gave me a hint of helpful advice about the signal columns for this period and using this tool I was able to update the signals to his LSWR format ones. So far I have...

And Combination Signals taken care of!

The bracket signals are a bit trickier. They are currently in GWR Semaphore style and currently the LSWR Signals Chrisaw has don't have equivalents to them. I am using SR era brackets for now and they work pretty good! :)

A few more screenshots I took..
