On the Ole Valley Railway we see preserved Ty42 number 42-25 pulling the display freight south out of Gainsborough.

@Gam, I saw one of your screenies with a brake coach at the end of a consist. Was this ever used in real life ? I've always seen steam hauled services with the brake coach by the loco ...

@ Gangsta, Intriguing point.............so I pulled out half a dozen or so old steam magazines and searched through them. Most of the pics do in fact show a Brake coach coupled to the locomotive however, I saw enough examples of composite coaches marshalled next to the engine.

Don't forget of course that the brake coach in my screenie would have been next to the engine on the down run. :p
