Rastis,

Love the shed with the EH parked outside. Looks great!
Would you have the DLS names to look up please?

Dan.

OK. Found the EH files ok, but still would like to find
the shed and the rubbish pile. Thanks.

I've also been re-working the model, I got a book at Caufield Exhibition which has very high res photos of it from 1890 to 1900

Products Of English Electric, Rocklea

Hello Everyone,

Rastis; looks like something from David Burke Book & later 1982 ABC TV Series - Come Midnight Monday.

Just some works in progress from me, some former English Electric, Rocklea plant locomotives built in two different times for Queensland Railways - QR 1620 & QR 2350/2370. The QR 2350s & 2370s were English Electrics final locomotives for Queensland Railways and ended up becoming well travelled; to Tasmania & Western Australia for both South Spur Rail, Qube & QR National

Sadly the rollingstock is a bit out of era.

Cheers.

Hi Michael,

The 2300's in WA are not English Electric's but EMD instead.
Regards
David

the class he is talking about is 2350s and 2370s not the 2300s, the 2350/70s are infact english electric and entered sercice in 1973 and the 2300's are emd and have only come about as rebuilt 1550s, 2400s, 2450s and 2470s and started showing up on the tracks in 1997

Okay, the only ones similar to this are used by Coote. None have been used by QRN.
These are the ZB class in WA.
Regards
David

From what I remember, the ZBs were brought to WA as part of the stillborn 'Leisurerail WA' tour train project that wanted to run from the old disused Esplanade station in Fremantle to destinations in the South West - the locos ended up with South Spur early on when that operation collapsed, and have been with South Spur's succesor operators ever since.

QR 2350-2361 were delivered between April 1973 and February 1974 QR 2370-2373 were delivered between March and December 1975. All units were withdrawn through 1987 and were onsold to Tasrail becoming the ZB class, many went straight into service wearing the new ZB numbers but the old QR logo and livery.
