Australian screenshots

David i doubt changing the psd would work but you could try i spose it looks more like a lighting issue to do with how i rendered it in Max in TS12 for memory it was even too bright, I don't have the new version yet and wont bother till they bring it out on disk and its stable without having to download massive patchs. Good too see ya still mucking around with my old crap though mate.
Cheers Mick.

That R Looks a little aged now.. I think there's a newer, 09 version compared to the R727 single loco. By Billegulla.

Also, TANE looks amazing.

As this station isn't maned, I went up onto the platform to take a better video for you Mick. lol
Thanks Dave, they are coming along well.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-33-13-99.jpg

Steaming through the crisp mountain air with a load of cattle.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-34-44-15.jpg

Blasting slowly across the crossing into Shelley.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-37-14-68.jpg

As the train approaches the other end of Shelley yard, the driver skillfully brings the train to a stop.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-48-50-00.jpg

Having been turned, coupled to the guards van, and shunted into the platform, DD 560 waits in the platform before returning to Cudgewa.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-50-38-29.jpg

The 'BONA' (loco and van) roll out of Shelley on their way to bring the next load of cattle up the mountain.

TANE%202015-05-13%2023-51-59-05.jpg

Further down the hill, the driver makes use of the air brakes to keep the train under control.

Geez there's some decent stuff being created nowadays. Good to see.

Still waiting on your GL Matt :p How's it coming along?

Hi everyone

Very nice roadsigns Jake!

Just some pictures showing the progress of my Variotram rework. Sadly they're retiring these at 18 years old.
Still a lot to go

Great shots everyone, some brilliant content being created and used, keep up the good work! :Y:

Just a quick question, on loco yards/yards in general, do they put a fence between the mainline & the sidings?
This is what I'm working on at the moment, "Maitland" yards.

G'day!

Its not uncommon. I've seen yards where the loco depot and sidings remain together - no fencing in between and others where the locomotive facilities are separated by a fence, like the Downer EDI workshops here in Bathurst are fenced off from the mainline.

Cheers!

Jake.

Since the advent of OH&S, lawsuits etc fences have become standard issue if there is a danger of being struck by moving trains. In the '80's when I shunted Wolli Creek gravel sidings there was about two foot of room between the number one siding and the Down Illawarra Main Line and fence for demarcation. While I never heard of anybody being struck it was easy to forget when working on your train.
