Sydney Central Route V4: Progress Report.

Excavation has been completed at Redfern Station for the installation of the underground platforms 11 & 12 today. What would normally take me 6 months to excavate, I was able to knock over in 5 minutes. What an effort - that's gotta be worth a few Cascade's to cool the sweat.
The platform, track and tunnel portals have been set, so now it's up to the chain-gang I hired from Long Bay to finish it off. Maybe I should buy a few slabs of VB instead.

Here's a couple of shots.

Very nice Roy, keep up the good work buddy

Thanks Steve, I appreciate your thoughts mate.

Passengers are already waiting at Redfern No 11 & 12 in anticipation of a stray train coming by, yet construction of the underground station is still not complete. The exterior walls and billboard advertising have to be added, plus re-construction of the streets above. We may have to set up temporary accommodation for some people who are determined not to leave until their train arrives. The Press are looking for a good story and the local council are making excuses about the gaping hole in Redfern. I guess I'd better get on with it.

X54-X43 on a 40 wagon block grain service just after Methuen Loop. X54 had just "threw a leg out of bed", rendering the train unable to move on.

As a result, X32-Y129-Y158-T378 (on loan from the ZecRail Workshops) were lashed up at Peterborough and sent out. Here, the locos sit at Oodla Wirra, awaiting a cross with the local railmotor.

The railmotor finally out of their way, the driver wastes no time in taking off to rescue the failed train.

I got a chance to get a snap of the locos at Nackara, before they depart for Methuen Loop.

Finally, just crossing the Border Highway, the locos arrive at the failed grain train. Being a 2.5% grade, the crews are unsure if they will be able to haul the train away.

After the drivers work out they will be able to just make it over the hill, they radio Train Control at Paratoo, who give them the Train Order to proceed to Peechara Loop, to cross a pass service.

take them to the ACCC advertising without intent to supply

(Auscision hat on)

Actually spoken to them about getting your money back Steve? (I already know the answer)

Magazine ads that don't get updated hardly carry any weight. There is no deliberate misconception on their (our) Facebook page. No one has told you it's been delayed for more important products. While you might deal with China, you don't deal with them in the same number and quantity, of both products and suppliers, that Auscision do.

As for not being important enough, what's more important that a new project? We can't do anything while we wait for China on the V Sets, so new projects get time invested in them. Not surprising.

Who knew a full trainset would take more effort than a single loco or rollingstock item.

How do you upload. I did look to make a post but do not quite get the URL bit...whats the secret?
The secret is to use a picture hosting service like hostthenpost.org which has directions for use as a sticky on the main screenshots page. After uploading it is then just a simple copy and paste of the url for the pic.
cheers

Dear Jamie /H222
HOW IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT I ORDER FROM CHINA
My last order to China was 120,000 items, THAT IS JUST FOR 1 VARIETY, i can order up to 5 times a year, and as for not being told that other stock was more important{ face to face }{ well how the hell would you possibly know that was not told to me ??? do you think the person that said it would risk their job over it,} so don't even go there because that was said to me by a person working at the shop on that Saturday in question.
And as for advertising, allegedly the owner of the said company is responsible for all advertising at any stage, if they are not then who is then ,??? the magazine company?? If the expected date on the advert keeps changing then somebody is at fault!

As for the facebook page, don't expect everybody to go to Facebook for info or sales or to find expected release dates, not to mention the website still states expected release April 2017 for the V.Sets, SO IF THEY HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN SHIPPED YET I WOULD CHANGE THAT ASAP.

If you advertise shipping details it might help boost with sales within days of releasing that item.

You should have known that a full train set would take more time because it's not the first full train set you guy have sold! So you should have known.
Also remember it didn't name your company.
I do believe that you guy do a great job on all the models, but the ordering process needs work that would form greater relations with customers

Mr Hop Sing arrives with order of V SET

You are right, i corrected it, sorry
Hop Sing was the cook in the 1959/70 tv series Bonanza and he was a great actor i might add a very talented man for those years, his character was played by Victor Sen Yung, very brave man

Shameless plug for content. If you're making a Victorian route that requires overhead wires, search the DLS for a user called bils. He's made some VR catenary items, as well as some searchlight signals

Ausrail8040 was making some, last time I had them they looked pretty good and on point, though I don't think he's around too much more, he was last active last October. Yeah so if anyone knows what happened, he has a full inbox now. Lol.

Cheers, Stefan.

He comes and goes. I've got a lot of his new stuff, but much of it is unfinished. Good guy too.

Might dig up his email address and see if I can bribe him back to trainz with some VL's :p

G'day all, much closer to finishing the basics on the NSW half of the route, 12 kms to go.

I decided to take a photo from Y117 as we bring her 'on shed' at Peterborough, giving a look at some of the locos used across the lines around the area.

Once my colleague and I had stabled the Y, we were told to grab a couple of locos and take them to Terowie. Since I was driving the light loco movement, I picked the two flat top Ts that were available, T343 and T413, as well as X36. I made sure to have both set up for a comfortable run of long end leading.
