Hey all, your scenery is looking fantastic Graeme.

Here is 8144 and 8172 passing in between Wingello and Tallong with a limestone train heading to Marulan.

Blayney NSW, from "Lines to the Lachlan" by NSWGR_46class, with minor tweaks by me. Change here for the cross county line to Cowra-Young-Harden. In mid winter possibly the coldest platform in NSW.

More to come.

Great Aussie stuff happening from all directions. Fantastic scenery Graeme, Phil, Ryan, Tom, ... you're nailing it guys !

Apologies for my absence over the past 6 months, however,... as 'Arnold' once said, "I'll be back".

You can count on it.

Cheers,
Roy

Thanks for the feedback Roy, looking forward to seeing some more screenshots from you mate.

Cheers, Ryan.

Hay Aussie Brains Trust - is there away to convent a gmax file into one that can be used in a 3D printer - hit my via PM if you wish

I don't know about gmax but Blender can do it. Maybe export from gmax to Blender first. Unfortunately GMax is also a popular brand of 3d printer which hogs google searches.
cheers

Thanks Roy. One of the great things about Trainz route creation and screen shots is that we can look at the world through other modellers eyes. Please 'be back' soon. We're missing your wonderful Sydney shots (both periods you model, but particularly your witness of the '50's)

I second that motion. Roy, your good cheer is missed too and it's good to know you're still lurking.

For those that don't have Facebook there is an post from Austrainz (Formally Australian Trainz Division) :

WE'RE BACK!
After another brief absence the website is back up and running.
A few items from members no longer in the team have been removed, as well as items currently undergoing update works to bring them up to the current standard.
All items available on the site are also slowly being uploaded to the DLS to allow them to be used in multiplayer sessions.

To celebrate the website being back online.. AusTrainz is very proud to announce the release of the FA/PN XR Class Locomotives (Rebuild versions).

The first members of the XR class were rebuilt from first and second series X class locomotives between 2002 and 2004, with more powerful rebuilt engines cascaded from the G class, larger radiators, and a new cab to provide better driver visibility. They were not reclassed and renumbered as the XR class until 2004.

I would like to thank a couple of people:
• Matt (ATSF854) for allowing me to use his S1 X Class mesh and bogies as a base.
• Zec (S301) for his tireless scripting work for all of AusTrainz's locos.
• Aaron (Azervich) for helping rebuilding the bogies.

Get them from our website now!
https://www.austrainz.com/

*Please note, these have only been designed for TRS19 SP1 (PC) and above ONLY, we cannot guarantee they will work in earlier versions of Trainz and provide no support for people attempting to get them to work in earlier versions of Trainz.

Nice work everyone, it's always great to see Aussie creations. Keep it up guys.

What am I saying! I've been idle for quite a while now!

Anyway, over the past few days, I've begun extending my 1950s Sydney route out to the 'Heads' and to include Manly Wharf for the Ferry session.

Extending around the harbour will be somewhat pain-staking, however I'll find a way.

Here's a shot of the Manly Wharf so far.
