    Post Ranger_51 Gantery Signal Faulty

    Hey,

I just downloaded the Ranger_51 Signal Single Line Pack and all the gantry signal are coming back as faulty. I've tried deleting and reinstalling but nothing's changed. I've also attached image links for the errors as well.

    Thanks

If you look at Rangers last Post for these signals, it late last year, maybe he has left the Forum?

Ranger_51 is on Discord on the Hotbox channel. The signals are still being kept updated and new ones coming out as needed.
I have these signals on my database and used them extensively on the Illawarra route. Mine are not faulty, however, I have kept all of the previous library files on my system.
Try Downloading the previous mesh libraries by right clicking and "download this asset", delete the current libraries and run a database repair, then download the current set again and retain the obsolete ones.

Hi Blue. Your link gives me an empty result. I have tried posting the faulty assets in the Freeware thread for his signals but have gotten no response from anyone. Grazlash, I will try your suggestion, because it is on your route where I am getting all of the faulties.
The error is this: VE186: Material 'arc:fld:$(original)/hash-97||kuid2 209857 102 7.tzarc|mesh**signalMain.m.tbumpenv' is shared between multiple chunks in this asset but the material parameters conflict.
The wiki lists VE186, but no fix for it.
Oddly, they did not show up as faulty when I downloaded the route, but seem to be showing as faulty later on.

Thanks Blue. I reverted <kuid2:209857:102:7> LIB | R51 Signal Kit | Mesh - Signal Parts (Modern) to version :6 and that seems to be fixing things. I hope he will fix whatever is wrong with :7

EDIT: Actually, that did not work with these three assets: (maybe more are going to do this?)
    <kuid2:209857:71135:6> NSW SL | 3a H Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71125:5> NSW SL | 3a H | G
    <kuid2:209857:71105:7> NSW SL | 2a H | G
Because :6 does not have the LOD meshes, so it causes these to be faulty.

Sorry Grazlash. I am either going to have to go without signals or take a pass on this wonderful route, which I really hate to do.

    Forester1,
I, too, am having the same errors show on these. I have reverted <kuid2:209857:102:7> LIB | R51 Signal Kit | Mesh - Signal Parts (Modern) to version :6 but like you, that didn't fix things.
now have the following faulty signals...
    <kuid2:209857:71105:7> NSW SL | 2a H | G
    <kuid2:209857:71177:7> NSW SL | 1a M 2r Tu Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71152:5> NSW SL | 3a H 2r Tu Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71184:6> NSW SL | 2a H 2r Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71146:5> NSW SL | 3a H LD Tu Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71138:4> NSW SL | 3a H 2r Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71149:5> NSW SL | 3a H RD Tu Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71135:6> NSW SL | 3a H Sh | G
    <kuid2:209857:71125:5> NSW SL | 3a H | G

which appear to be from NSW Donnybrook Branch and Illawarra South Coast NSW Australia.

I will try to back version these too, but then my list of obsoletes will grow even longer. (Its bad enough that there are "obsoletes" caused by the Mobile app without these too)

    Hello my Friend,

When I first downloaded I think versions 3 and 4 not too much problem, but when I upgraded from that point, several of them started showing Faulty, and it seemed to me, when I changed to Platinum Version of TRS19 it got worse. And maybe it is Error Checking being more Stringent, which is fine, I have no control over that.

And I have had my fill of Faulty Assets in general, I try to fix the simple ones like Uniform Color etc. But at this stage of Trainz, if I get a group of things showing Faulty Attitude, then I just give them the Shove off the moving Train, Deletion.

Indeed, Blue. I have "fixed" a lot of assets in my days and learned a lot of tricks, but this appears to be something that is not easily solved, and I think it is time for me to forego these excellent routes. It is a shame because these are so well done and Australian routes, but there are a lot of other great routes out there.
