Question about the CMNW GP40's

Hi everybody,
I've got a question about the CMNW GP40's. (https://jointedrail.com/product/emd-gp40-cmnw-gp40-ph-2c-2-pack/)
Does the strobe/beacon light on the black and yellow geep work or is it just aesthetic? The description doesn't have the beacon light GIF, but it also doesn't have the gyra light gif but I know they both have that functioning.

The stratolite beacon on the roof is enabled and the gyralite in the nose is not.
