Default This is a neat building...

I happened to be poking around Google Earth because I can and came across this:

    https://goo.gl/maps/zDtaACL7CXyFhRou9

It's located next to the CPRail line in Mission BC.

What kind of neat things have you found?

It can't be authentic - because it is not a recycled railway diner car.

    I know, really!

I received a connection reset message earlier and had to refresh when I opened the forums.

This is one I stumbled upon.

There was a time when many towns had a loco and tender on display either in a park or at the fairgrounds. Here is one in front of this small town's Historic Society Museum. Rotate the view and you see a couple of more beauties.

Yes, there's some beautiful stuff there including that general store with its rusty tin roof. The stuffed NG Shay is beautiful as well and so is the caboose.

The locomotive in Coulterville is not a shay. It is a 8 ton Porter 0-4-0 saddle tank locomotive.
There is a Shay not too far away

I was up there yesterday, there has been a new coat of paint applied since this view was taken.

Thanks. I looked at the Shay yesterday as well and I was going from memory when I responded today.

    Default The Horror! The Horror!

I have to drive by this car wash quite often. You can see that someone tried to make it look like a steam locomotive but failed.

There's this weird building in Australia, I don't know much about it. It's not very well-known, so I thought I'd highlight it here

Jokes aside, there's an inflatable building near where I live. Inside there is a couple soccer fields, of all things.

There's a spiky-UFO looking church near me too

There is a primary school near me that's pretty weird, too

We still have "Big Mike" at the Boise Train Depot. We are hoping with Biden's infrastructure bill to maybe get real trains back here too.
