how to get rid of this asset ?

I am trying to rebuild an old layout from ages ago and cannot get rid of this https://imgur.com/a/PxKWK2w it tells me locked by parent and I have tried using the track delete, objects delete etc etc but it will not budge at all its frustrating me and I have messed about with other layouts for a long while so what am I doing wrong or what is the solution please help !

In Surveyor Classic, use the copy-paste tool.

Find an area of your route that doesn't have any objects on it, textures and splines are fine.

Deselect. height, textures and splines.

Select an area and copy.

Go to the station and paste over it. This will remove the asset.
