Chicago Rail Link Facility

I've been working on a reasonable interpretation of the Chicago Rail Link offices and engine facility on E 104th St. on Chicago's Southeast side. I visited this location a number of times. With Google Maps and Basemapz, I have very closely recreated the "interesting" track locations. Buildings on the other hand are not accurate, mostly because Trainz has nothing like them on the Download Station. There are more pieces and details that need to be added. I am struggling to make the ground look right. It's a mix of concrete, asphalt, gravel and ballast. With the limitations terrain detailing that we deal with, I just can't get satisfied with it.

I know how you feel, I spend hours trying yo get the Textures on the Ground that look good, it is a huge pain with the patterns that happen, and that does not look very good.
Maybe when the new HD Terrain update happens then maybe we will get a much better mix of good looking natural Ground, and Mountain slope textures.

Hang in there, as I have myself to keep on working at it.
Cheers.:)
