Setting height of assets

Hi guys, I hope you are enjoying the world cup.

With regards to this asset <kuid:243828:100057> C+ RN Path AsphM 02m 1 Kerb (2m Spline) or any other asset, what is the config code to set its height please?

Regards

Harry

There is no config code that sets the height of an asset. Height is set in Surveyor by the tools you use to place the object.

In Surveyor Classic:
All objects will be initially placed at the same height of the terrain or the height of the object (e.g. track) that they are attached to.

  1. For splines you move the spline circle (yellow or white ring) up and down with the spline height adjustment tool. Splines can also have their height set by entering a height value (in metres) in the height dialogue box.
  2. For objects (trees, houses, etc) you use the object height adjustment tool.
  3. Track objects (signals, switches, etc) will take their height from the track height. This cannot be adjusted
  4. Some objects cannot have their height adjusted above or below the terrain height.

When adjusting height holding down the SHIFT or CTRL key will allow finer height adjustments.

In Surveyor 2.0 (for subscription members only):
All objects will be initially placed at the same height of the terrain or the height of the object (e.g. track) that they are attached to.

  1. All objects, regardless of type, can be height adjusted using the Fine Placement Tool. They can also have their height set by entering a height value (in metres) in the height dialogue box.
  2. When using the Fine Placement Tool use the mouse to grab one of the 3D lines or circles around the object to move it up/down/laterally or rotate/roll. Grab the objects "hot spot" (a black or green dot) to move it in any horizontal direction.
  3. Objects that cannot be height adjusted in Surveyor Classic can be height adjusted in Surveyor 2.0. This includes moving track objects relative to the track.
