Default Any GE 45 tonners available as freeware or payware?

    Hi all,

I am building a small route for the Port of Redwood City. I am looking for a re-skinnable GE 45 tonner available as freeware or payware for my route.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately the 45 tonners are no longer available as they were on ControlPointSims website that went under earlier this year.

There's other versions but this is probably the closest:

Blue Ridge Simulations has some available (maybe the ex-CPS ones?) here:

There are these payware ones from Trainz Forge.

    Trainz Forge (trainz-forge.com)

I bought these and they're really nice models. I use them all the time to switch my industrial areas and along my docks.

It sure looks like it, Piere. Yours truly reskinned it to Eagle River and can say that it is fairly easy to do.

Just wondering, how did you re-skin it? I downloaded them from the website and tried re-skinning them but the paint.net file just shows up as blank.

I'm not sure about paint.net. I use Photoshop and have had no trouble opening and modifying the *.tga files. Have you tried opening other *.tga files from other Trainz assets?

When you save the textures, make sure you're not saving compressed .TGA files, otherwise they may not load.

I don't know if these fit what you're looking for, but there are also two Whitcombs on the DLS. Superbly reskinned by Ekankal

    <kuid:396831:100570> Whitcomb 50 tonner # 12
    <kuid:396831:100553> Whitcomb 50 tonner # 11

And a blue & red version by Bear_Ludd

<kuid:191567:100962> Whitcomb 50 tonner, blue and red

in case they are of interest.

    Cheers,
    Piere.
