A Flat Rail Car 92 ft or Longer?

Hi Community --

I was just wondering if a flat rail car comes in longer then a 92ft -- And if so, how much longer can a Flat rail car could be?

The only thing I can think of would be special load flat cars like depressed center cars or cars to carry shipping containers. Some of them get pretty long. At some point I would think that the standard design would hit a weight limit of how much could be carried on the center beams without buckling.

Limit is overhang on curved track.

Thanks a bunch for the link, sir -- i got an idea on how to create a flat rail car to carry a long row of steel beams! Yeah, slowly getting back into 3d max! :) --- this will be a new car!

Ah, nice to have you creating again. It looks like 89' center beam flats are often used to carry 90' sections of pipe. It is also stacked high on lines that have the vertical clearance.

PS: This is the biggest load I found. 180' using pivot points on a couple of depressed center flats and over hanging other normal flats.

Thank you, sir, for the links/pictures -- it's very helpful, and the info you have provided have given me a few ideas, since there's a few long and big rockets that extend over 100ft as well as some steel beams, and pipping's that I like to place on flat cars as static and product versions alike!
