crossings

When I first started using TRS22 I noticed that the crossings weren't working. I tried different types; ATLS, etc.
Has there been any improvement in this area? What crossing assets are fully functional in TRS22 ?

There are some new validation rules, some obsolete functions.

The crossings got hit hard, but some new stuff is now available, and works well.

ATLS has always worked but all assets must be named differently. If you want the same name you must put brackets with increasing letters at the end of the name. (a), (b), (c) etc
TRC also works but I can't comment on them as I don't use them.

What is this new stuff to which you refer?

I prefered the TRC especially with angled crossing s and close switching crossings but since I brought up a few routes from TANE and TS19 I ran into super FPS issues of lag 1-2 fps ugh...
It turned out that TRC scripting was the issue...
So I switched back to ATLS and thanks to Chris updating BNSF50 crossings (NRC) I was able to recover the routes...
Now I have noticed fixed crossings are hit and miss when for example a train coming out of a switch they either work or they dont otherwise they seem to work good in other situations...

Dave =)

I use both depending on the situation. I haven't noticed any lag with the TRC crossings. What version of the triggers are you using? They should all be TRC 4 now.

Yep I had all updated versions and could it be that one route used 61 and the other 107?
Also strange was I deleted the session layer and just worked with the route layer in which then I just saved it as a new session and same issues...
Now I do have other routes with TRC that use only a few crossings and they are fine? GO FIGURE!
Dave =)

Some information is saved in a session and won't be found if you only open the route. The fact that one route had 61 may be a hint that the other 46 may have been in the session.

Yep thats what lost me worked great in TANE and I knew that ts22 I would need to change things...
As for the TRC I updated and replaced all of them and of course deleted the old in content manager...
I had to open the route in route layer due to the session in lag mode to do this., and it worked first try and after just the same lag 1-2 fps...
After spending hours of now whats I just removed them all and went with ATLS for now...
