Default Surveyor classic auto adding ground tiles when copy/pasting textures/trees

I am working on one of my routes in surveyor classic... I am copy/pasting some ground textures and trees. If I go over the edge of the current ground tile, even one space when pasting it adds an entire new ground tile that I don't want there.

And yes, I know that I can just go through the route and delete those added unwanted ground tiles, and yes I know that I can be much more careful and precise when pasting. I am just wanting to know if there is a way to disable this auto added ground tile placement.

We've complained about this and thought it was a bug, but sadly it's a "feature" with the newer Trainz versions and there's no way to disable that or make it optional. The only thing you can do is be more careful and delete baseboards if you need to. I recommend saving before making any changes in case you have a mouse click slip.
